Does anybody know how to stop Shadowmere following you everywhere when you fast travel? Is the glue factory the only option? I have tried to do a couple of stealthy assassination missions - fast travel to the location in sneak, do the deed, disappear into the night... Only now when I fast travel anywhere there is a dirty great black horse with red eyes stood next to me - hardly stealthy.

I wish he'd just stay put in the stable where I left him.

btw I am on an Eggbox 360 so no option for console.
Why not buy another horse, this might make Shadowmere go away as the latest should replace current, like taking on a new follower. Then kill the normal horse and see if Shadowmere returns. If it does after a few days you'll have to end it's miserably creepy stalker life. If not don't go too near the pool outside the Brotherhood Sanctuary in case it triggers it again.

Skyrim wiki also says - "After summoning the Spectral Assassin, Shadowmere may disappear or refuse to follow you."

Also, Shadowmere can die if, for example, you ride him/her off a cliff in which case (s)he will respawn after 10 game days at the place of death.

Another nice new mod, a new underground city - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=...

Has all merchants and shops, plus also has a book shop.

Thanks for that - looks interesting. I may try it.

I'm currently trialling ' Economics of Skyrim' as I gave up on 'Dynamic Merchants' as the author pretty much broke it by making the decay time too quick and then seemingly abandoning it.

The Life and Death of Lydia

There are times I want to kill her myself. She seems to be useless now I'm levelled up a bit even though I give her good weapons / armour.

I really wish the companion AI was better, dogs are infuriating!

That was really funny/creepy.

I killed her first time through, I keept her in my second but don't use her. I am not sure I could stand to hear her say "I am sworn to carry your burdens" again.

The other followers just respond "what do you want to trade", much better.

That's just wrong.

Besides, everyone knows you just strip her of everything, resurrect her with the console, ask her to follow you, then give her back her stuff. paperbag
