thanks for all the tips chaps.

Im slowly losing a bit of interest in the game as i feel like im just walking about non stop passing messages between characters at the moment, im missing the combat side.

Is there anything i can do thats not a mission to spice things up a bit.
Turn the difficulty up (if you haven't already) and go and attack a bandit held castle or mine, try, er from memory and looking at a map on google...Fort Greenwall north of Riften, or Treva's Watch West of Riften, Fort Sunguard southeast of Rorikstead, Swindler#s Den on the Whiterun plain behind the big rocky hill (you can get a sword from to give to Amren if you haven't already) or just attack any other held location. Some might be quest related but as long as you allow them to respawn it should be ok.

Map (might be spoilery if you don't want to know where places are) - http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb201111271458...

Thank you.

I adjusted the difficulty from apprentice to adept and the change is too much lol i get killed all the time on adept but apprentice is too easy.

slowly losing interest in this game.

So much walking about to find things, sometimes even though the mission is active its not showing me arrows on the map so i can fast travel near to where i need to be.

also going from apprentice to adept is like going from easy to expert. It goes from one person attacking you to about 6.

I actually like that wondering about bit. Finding new locations meeting new and interesting people an smacking them round the head with a mace hehe Maybe getting up close and personal might make combat more interesting.

I actually skipped the main quest for quite a while just because I was exploring/wondering about and because of that I had no dragons to fight. They only start appearing once you complete the Dragon Rising Quest from the main quest.

If you think about it, your character is not from Skyrim so wouldn’t know where all the locations are so would need to look for them. Obviously once known they show up on the map and the more you find the more chance you will be able to fast travel close to your next objective.

Mod the hell out of it. There are mods that add more NPCs, such as the Immersive Patrols mod which is available for PS4, makes the roads more inhabited when travelling. To make it more realistic and populated when travelling.
https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/329...

Increased Population: Towns & Settlements.
https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/408...

Civil War patrols mod adds hundreds more military units around Skyrim.
https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/406...

Or as an alternative to Civil War Patrols there's Populated Skyrim Civil War
https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/324...

(Bethesda net hosted, not sure if the PS4 looks there or not but they are all compatible)

You don't have the number of mods available that PC players have due to the restrictions Sony put on scripted mods but you might try looking on here and if you see one that's interesting search the PS4 lists to see if it's there - most endorsed mods - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mod...

I wish I could play it for the first time. I have tried to play it a few different ways but can't beat the original play though as an Ork with a shield and mace. Basically no messing about, get stuck in up close and personal.

Delayed squishy mage attempt due to getting a PS4 Pro. smile
Anyone good at modding here?
These are the ones that appeal to me - is this load order ok?

Unofficial patch
Project Hippie
Obsidian weathers
Luminosity lighting
Dense grass
Bridges of Skyrim
Fallen trees
Water
Magical college of Winterhold.

My best advice (and it's really dumb) is use the Cart / Taxi service! I only really discovered them in my last play through. In previous games I've always schlepped over to new cities which, whilst cool for discovery, completely ruined the pace of missions for me!

Couldn't believe I'd been so dumb when I realised they could be used to travel to un-visited cities!
..whereas I went into the crouch/sneak mode from about ten minutes into the game and sneak walked the entire game/map with no fast travel for over 150 hours, never looking at the map and removed the HUD/Radar so I had to actually stumble across places but the issue is you lose your crosshair! So I had to bring it back to barely visible.

Crawling about at half walking pace gives the game a feel of massive scale. Made it to 100 sneak as fast as I can see how without some sort of exploiting.

The only ones I know/have used are Obsidian Weather, Bridges of Skyrim, Fallen Trees and Water. But looking at what the others do and looking at similar mods in my load order I would go with the below for full compatibility.

Unofficial Patch
Dense grass <------ here so that Project Hippie can make grass changes to any town it edits
Luminosity Lighting
Project Hippie <------- here if it adds it's own lighting so that it works and doesn't flicker anywhere or move above LL if it doesn't. Interiors may be darker but will use the correct light (if unique to this mod and it makes changes).
Obsidian Weather
Skyrim Bridges
Fallen Trees
Magical college of Winterhold
Water

Ok - many thanks.
If I notice any issues I'll swap them around.

theres so many bugs in this game its unreal.

Now on my world map it never shows the arrow where i need to go next, even when a mission is selected, it shows it on the status bar whilst playing but i end up walking miles as i dont have a clue where to go on the map.

That is not a bug, it doesn't have an arrow on your map to tell you where to go. However it gives you the option to add your own arrow.

Click an empty spot on the map, and you'll have the options: Move It, Leave It, Remove It. To remove it you just click somewhere else on the map and it will ask you if you want to keep your marker or remove it

You should try installing the unofficial Skyrim SE patch from bethesda.net for whatever format you're playing on.
Just sign up to bethesda (it's free & takes 2 minutes) and off you go.
Having played with a few mods added, there's no way I'd go back to the standard version.

Help me chaps.

I didnt realise id become a vampire again, fking hate this.

Anyway ive tried to speak to the guy in morthal but no option comes up for me to talk to him about being cured, i cant seem to feed on anyone when sleeping, only pickpocket, im at a dead end.

I think i may of fked it up as i killed loads of people in morthal, went to jail but now i dont think alvas there anymore etc. I really want to be cured and dont want to have to go back loads of saves and do missions all over again.

Any ideas?

Finished the main quests 'i think'

What would you reccomend next, im still doing a few quests but they dont last long and usually are passing a message between a few people and collecting things.

Also what is the benefit of getting married, having kids, having a house, and why bother sleeping? Ive not done any of this at all in the 100 hours ive spent on it, i have enabled a mod to increase carry weight so dont really have a need for storage.

Im playing as mostly pure mage with 45 skill in one handed elvin dagger.

Destruction is 97 haha

My pure mage is going well. Level 27 now.

My tools of choice are the Sanguine Rose for multiple or tough enemies and Mehrunes Razor or a Dwarven dagger with Fiery Soul Trap enchantment.
My destruction needs working on.

Got the paralyse & banish enchantments, so I'm rolling in cash using them on steel/iron daggers & flogging them for about 1000 gold a pop. smile

Main quests, do you just mean the Dragons/Blades & civil war stuff. Have you done the Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, The Companions, College of Winterhold, & Divines quests, Bards College,

If you've not slept you wouldn't have done the Dark Brotherhood.

And forget about marriage and children, you get a small amount of gold for a wife/husband who sets up a shop even if (with mods) you have a house in the middle of nowhere and the children are just annoying brats.

Do you have any DLC, Hearthfire, Dawnguard, Dragonborn?

Ps. 100 hrs, you are about 25% through. smile
