I remember the Hillman Imp was penned in for GT5.
Lies. All lies.
Would have been worth buying a PS3 just for that alone!Lies. All lies.
Incidentally, I remember emailing you years ago asking for advice on how to put an R1 engine or Subaru P1 engine into the back of an Imp. A friend ended up taking it off my hands and we got a Chimaera instead.
Thanks for the advice anyway!
Reckon you'd be able to pop up a build thread when you're done?
Btw, I just had a quick read of that thread that contains the Forza Horizon article and appears as though you can upgrade your cars performance but you can't tune it. It also hints towards the upgrading being dumbed down a bit.
Anyway, I won't be buying this on release. I'll decide to buy it if it gets good reviews from you guys (with the exception of Y2'fanboi'Blade).

Insert 'This is not Forza Motorsport 5, it is a different game' comment here.
Everyone knows this and has done for a while now. Given the tangent this game is directed at, some serious Forza players are going to find the arcade concept a little off-putting, myself included. ajprice said:

Yep and I think that will be the decider for many, I would have described myself as a Forza fanboy, but I want motorsport, with building, tuning and painting. Yes the idea of TDU with forza handling does appeal, but just bolting on parts to get instant power without thought of what it will do to the cars handling doesn't.I can see the FM4 community remaining as strong as ever until FM5 appears.
Jury is still out for me.

Its a long article , relevant bit is:
"You won't, however, be able to tune your cars - though you can modify their appearance - and damage is only cosmetic, too"
I don't understand that. No deamon camber for the drifters? No high bouncy suspension for the off-roaders... but 16 different surface types?"You won't, however, be able to tune your cars - though you can modify their appearance - and damage is only cosmetic, too"
Also looking through a few more promotional vids on youtube it narks me that you get points for smashing you car up against scenery objects. Nobody who's into cars does that with their own car. At least not repeatedly. I do not want to remodel my fenders using a parking meter...
I would have thought you'd get points for near misses on these objects (using them as clipping points etc.). And the fact that doing so won't damage your car... No.
So the game is Burnout ideology meets NFS Physics meets TDU landscapes...
... and all we wanted was an open world Forza Motorsport. "LOL"

Define faboi please Rob? Anyway, I won't be buying this on release. I'll decide to buy it if it gets good reviews from you guys (with the exception of Y2'fanboi'Blade).
The fact that I play and enjoy a wide range of game types on differant consoles (and PC) goes against the very definition of the phrase.
To add: your laces are undone!

So BF3 eh? If I can find a cheap copy I may well join you both. The good lady won't be happy though.
