I think you should just start a new championship with everyone in the same car, just different paint jobs.
We ran a very successful Clio Cup a few years back all running same locked tune.Petrolhead95 said:

I reckon a Scirrocco R series would be brilliant fun.
ETA: That picture is massive, sorry if it takes a while to load.

Scirocco R's sound like a good idea. Now, we just need people to join in. Someone start a thread?
Edited to add: On FM4, they have touring car body kits for the Scirocco R. Awesome!
Funny you should mention that......Edited to add: On FM4, they have touring car body kits for the Scirocco R. Awesome!
Although this one is S700 AWD 452bhp & 394lb-ft, I'll put the tune on my SF if you want to try it (it is a bit ummmm jittery!!)
With a full race spec chassis ie. Slicks, race gearbox, suspension, brakes, rollcage, full weight reduction, clutch, diff and ARBs whilst still being FWD the Scirrocco R comes in at just above A530. With a couple of engine tweaks like exhausts and air filters it should be around the 600 mark which would be realistic and about right for a low spec race car.

Yup, I had mine at A564 and it feels like the perfect balance of power and handling. I think A600 would be too much, plus people could be too tempted to use storefront tunes.Had a quick play yesterday - as per Fattys build then add race exhaust, race cams, sport tyres and full VW kit and a random set of wheels get you to A600.
Did a clean 1'34 around Laguna with it. I cant tune FWD at all and around 340 brake through the fronts is a nightmare.... Think a random PI somewhere in the mid/high 500's should be good

I had a quick go last night race tyres are much better for handling you could set the bhp too 300hp max a600 cars with vw aero and rollcage and that should leave the rest up too you so some have full 300hp with less handling some will have max handling but less bhp that may be the way too go. alan
Not a Scirocco, but me and a couple of mates came up with this:
Renault Clio 197
Street exhaust
Race flywheel
Race everything on platform and handling
Street clutch
Race gearbox
Standard driveline
Race diff
Race tyre compound
17" wheels (Speedline)
Standard tyre width
NO AERO.
The car should be A517 if you've built it right.
The above resulted in quite a few races where the entire 8 car field was covered by 10-15 seconds, it's great.

^Clio's have already been run before so we should try and mix it up a bit.
Right, something like this for the Scirroco's:
- Race tyres, suspension, roll cage, anti roll bars, brakes, weight reduction, clutch, driveline, differential and gearbox with a race exhaust and race air filter, upgraded Volkswagen race body kits and something like Buddy Club wheels.
- If there's enough people then teams of two with a team paint.
- 2 or 3 short races with qualifying and simulation damage with one mandatory pit stop in all races.
- A PI drop (like race weights) for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
I could start up a thread if you guys want to try and get more people involved?
