Just found the Nvidia shadowplay plugin so I've added FPS toggle, screenshot, manual record and save last few minutes buttons.

This post might be of interest, someone sharing their Streamdeck icons for ED.

Hmm, I prefer mine, using different colours means I don't have to look directly at the buttons for too long to know where I am or what I am pressing. Perhaps it works better on the smaller deck he has.

Impressive small ship anti-xeno combat near a ground base. Working up from Scouts to what looks like a Hydra at the end.

Medusa at the end. Can tell as it has spikes on the petals.
It goes cyclops, basilisk, medusa, hydra.

I've been away from Ebiggrin for ages, what is that weapon the Viper is using? Single shots at a time but seems to do massive damage to the Thargoids!

I really must spend some time in Ebiggrin again now I have a VR and HOTAS setup.

I think it's the "modified shard cannons" that were a reward for some community goal a litte while ago. Stuff like that has been a feature more and more in Elite as it gets more people involved.

Just today I went and found some upgraded heat sinks that were another CG reward and are now available for materials (not credits)

Quite cool bit of footage. Someone found a Thargoid settlement assault with a Federal Capital ship in situ.

Ooh, is that the pre-engineered ones from October's CG? Missed out on those! Can you buy them anywhere specific, or is it an RNG thing at certain stations?

They are, and the extra ammo over an engineered is nice. The material cost is high though, I only bought 3 in the end because I was running out of niobium

Easiest way to find them is search Inara, in Inara, search for sirius. Then go to Factions > Sirius Cooperation > Assets > Megaships

Try this link for location

This one for materials

Pre engineered heatsink locations:
Leesti, Chariot of Rhea
Arimpox, el Cantinela Cadejo
Andecavi, Kumiho Sky
Luytens Star, Spirit of Lealaps
Aleoth, The Witness Odysseus

Materials required:
Mechanical scrap 8
Niobium 6
Vanadium 6
Mechanical components 5

Also, for Guardian weapons go to Mbooni, they have pretty much all the engineered stuff but you need the Guardian blueprint fragments, 1 or 2 for each weapon plus other stuff!

Appreciated guys, cheers! I'll go grab some of the upgraded heatsinks as soon as I can - chuffed as I thought I'd missed out on them initially.

At this point my PVE stuff is more a floating array of shield cell banks than an actual hull, so they'll come in handy. hehe

Is there any new Guardian tech, other than this weeks CG reward? I think I've already got the Gauss and Shard cannons in storage somewhere.

They're not new but I'm running Guardian hull and module reinforcements on my AX ship as they have caustic resistance.

The new Community Goal AX multicannons are out apparently and while there nothing spectacular the shot speed has been bumped 150% so hitting scouts should be easier.

I just use standard hull/module reinforcement, it doesn’t use power and its stronger. I just go back to the stn to get fixed or an npc sends a limpet which often gets shot off.
I use a Challenger with modded plasma chargers and long range/TV beams which has earnt me about 2billion since the maelstroms arrived, not bad considering I’d never taken down an interceptor before that.
Currently stacking rescue missions in a python to mix it up a bit

Had a epic series of battles over Ebisu this morning.

Defending the Vasquez de Coronado Penal colony a Federal Battlecruiser turned up out of the sunrise to assist with a pesky Medusa!

The new AX MCs are ferocious and the only thing holding them back from being a great all-rounder is the stupidly short range of the xeno-scanner that allows the precise targeting of Thargoid hearts.

Jumped back in, been about a year since I last played. Currently on a little jaunt with my DBX to rank up exploration before I start with the new content. Need to decide if I repurpose my Krait 2 or Anaconda to hunt thargoids or build something to rescue people. Has anyone got a link to good builds for a rescue ship?

Krait II for sure, gives up only a little in firepower and armour for far better speed and agility.

Pretty much anything can run rescue if you pack in enough heatsinks or cold running modules. Best medium ship for that would be a Python. Best Large ironically is the Corvette.

Rescues can be a great way of building Federal or Imperial ranks if you need those.

Looking to take this up. Any good videos or advice to start with? I used to play either on my bbc micro last hehe

Also, what is considered to be a good spec PC for decent gameplay? I have a pretty new PC with a latest AMD chip, a ryzen 5 5600G, but with the inbuilt graphics. Am I on to a hiding with this? Or is it playable at a lower resolution?

It's old but this is still a fun introduction.

There's an old thread on PH with commander names and good websites to look up. Elite Dangerous has some amazing third party websites and assistant programs. Inara.cz is a good place to start.

I did at one point play with a 1030 GPU but 720p low settings for everything and that was the previous version of the software "3.8" which was upgraded to "4.0" this year that looks better but is more demanding.

Proceed with caution. Buy through Steam (whenever next on sale) and use the 2 hours of "no quibbles" refund gameplay to test it out.

Also the spaceship component of the game is relatively undemanding on hardware compared to the on-foot parts.

Thanks. The graphics abilities are actually quite good on this chip, have played World of Tanks on a decent setting.
