And...all of these said, it's the race called Downtown Underground, set it up for 1 lap, no traffic, clear weather...and off you go!

I'll be hosting later tonight for a bit, basically it'll be everyone takes turns to win.

Yep just hosted that again, 4 bike race, 1 lap, no traffic, winner took $13k last place took $2k

Right, 1.03 patched RT reply mission.

So farming missions for money and RP is not longer possible (until someone finds another exploit), and we are back to the first days of GTA5O farming method.

There has always been a legit RP farming method, you can replay as many times as you want and the results are not bad.

1000RP base, 5K for winning.

Takes around 2mins from start to start.

I used this method on my 2nd character, did it solo just for the RP point to level up till 15 then did VD for money.

Second character? as in you can have two at once or you mean you lost your first in the cloud issues and used this to build up replacement?

Thanks for the info btw I really need to earn some $$$$s sorry if already asked are you on PSN or XBL?

Yeah I think 1 lap races will be the next patch.

1 Lap 1v1 on criminal records in super cars takes around 30 seconds nets you 690 rp for a win and $2000. You then still have the legit option of replaying it.
Plus you have to win races to unlock your car mods. So just alternate with a friend. Or tell a friend that its not the winning that counts and beat him over and over.
Sorry Saiph missed this reply earlier, this looks to be the way to go smile

Anyone have any ideas what happens when trading up apartments. I have an apartment without a planning room and 6 car spaces. If I'm going to lose all the money I put into it I won't bother.
You'll lose just over half I believe, I traded up from 223k to 400k apartments and it cost me 280k. The 223k apartment is the best one, minus the view, but what view is worth 167k..

Hope that helps smile

You can only own 1 property online. Cars transfer between the garage if you upgrade.
Thanks chaps. Most helpful. I must admit that I want the view. smile Although the one in the centre of town is suppose to be good as you can see what is going on.

I tried doing the races solo just to upgrade my car, but it doesn't recognise that I've won. You have to be in a race with other players it seems.

Yes, the current character I'm using now is my 3rd, lost the first 2...they floating about somewhere with the clouds frown

I'm on PSN.

For these races, it's good idea to keep it clean, you get more RP if finish the race with no crash (only 100-200 in my experience), and the reason for choosing Downtown Underground is because there's a jump, if you land it right, you get awarded 100RP.

And the amount of RP you get for each time you rank up is 25 point more, I'm currently soloing it with 1550 RP per finish, if one person joins and I win, I get 5K+ for winning too.

Around 1 min 16 sec per race, 30 seconds reload time, basically even with some mistakes it's a 2min job.

Like all MMORPG, equipment are one of the most important things in game, if I'm going round with just a pistol on my hands and some guy pops up with a Advance Rifle in front of me...the odds are pretty much against me TBH.

I don't encourage people to just 'farm/grind/exploit' in a online game, and I give my full respect to people who do it by the books, but if you are in need of a quick way to sort the money side of things or your Rank, then this is one of many ways of doing it.

I'm of the same outlook, I lost my first character at level 20-21ish in the cloud along with £80+k plus property at the weekend.

I just want to build my new character back up to where I was tbh (I'm level 14 now) I haven't even got grenades or stickybombs back yet!!!!!!

I need to make some money. Don't want to grind but will be doing lots of "jobs" rather than arsing about in free mode and frittering it all away like last night. I think the number of times I jumped out of a car suspended under a cargobob only to realise my parachute had disappeared/I'd forgot it had disappeared, the medical costs racked up. Assuming it costs you something by default each time you die? Bit lame if it does.

With races I find I can't launch (what's the trick?) and from there it's hard work and you always get shunted off. Even against PHers. Now and again a bit of rubbing is amusing, but not every single race.

I've had a few races where I've fought my way up to the front and through not binning it at every corner have built up a good lead, only to be snookered right on the last checkpoint because of catch-up and drafting. Way over powered if you ask me. But then the lag is so bad sometimes that proper close racing isn't possible. Sucks when NPC vehicles suddenly spawn 3 foot in front of you.

That would piss me off in another racing game but I actually find it fun in GTAV.

It is slightly annoying when guys go out to wreck your race but it's nigh on impossible to avoid the contact.

I had some great races with PHers yesterday afternoon, really enjoyed it smile

Sorry, I got too carried away last night, completely forgot the bit where it'll cost 2k per death.

By the time I've found out how to transfer money to other players, you were probably too pissed off with my antic behavior and long gone...

Once again, sorry! I'm going to try and find you later on and transfer money to you, I honestly had no ill content last night for killing you guys for the sake of it.

And I'll do the same to the other...3 or 4 that were with us last night.paperbag

don't worry about it (and don't you dare transfer any money!) I was having just as much fun. Shame the plane wouldn't hook.
the comment about ruining our con-voy was a bit tongue in cheek wink
was oddly fun to drive lorries though. sadly my tanker was by far the slowest. I think the clucking bell was the fastest, although the flat bed was close.

Found one of those troop trucks parked up in the sandy shores Ammunation car park for some reason. It's possible for other players to sit in the back smile

Unfortunately actually having fun appears to be very expensive in this game banghead

But totally worth it for the experience of having to repeatedly stop and wait for you lot to catch up when we were playing in the hills tongue out

Thought it might be that, I've been trying to hold reasonable revs and just get massive wheelspin because of it for some reason.
I am perfectly manly thanks. It's just all my races seem to be ruined by people trying to carry far too much speed into a corner and wiping me out as I'm busily trying to take it properly. Still fun, I'm just not making the money frown

That reminds me...how do you control that bike confused

I've been trying to find a way to control a bike where it won't instantly swerve left or right from the tiniest nudge from my controls.

Oh...and I have to same problem in launching in a race, press LT as soon as I see GO, but all I get is wheel spin...

BTW, I'm on now, if anyone wants to join for Downtown Underground on PSN add me.
