I've been massively underwhelmed by the British cruiser line so far (I've just researched the tier 6), that there's no way I'm going to spend real cash on a British ship, irrespective of how famous it is.
T6 and on is where it gets good - the British light cruisers are a menace Also, a Fiji, paired with a Warspite or a Hood is absolute gold
I have not played WOWS as much as I liked, its enjoyable and a change from WOT.
Have a few ships, mainly USN Destroyers, Cruisers and BB's, did the usual and bought HMS Warspite, she is a nice BB for her tier, see they have buffed her turret rotation slightly, been having a play with her today and she cant half take a bit of punishment
I did go out and purchase HMS Hood, just for the fact that she is the Mighty Hood, she is an interesting ship to play, you need to treat her as a Battlecruiser rather than a Battleship, she wrecks cruisers for a living, if you are a cruiser player then keep out of range of her guns as she will rip you apart.
She is a big ship though, turning circle is huge but at full speed she is pretty agile for her size and doesn't lose much speed in the turn, she can hit 32 knots and her best role seems to be hit and run, support or cruiser killer, her health pool is massive, she hates torpedoes as she is a little too big to avoid close range ones but her AAA (defensive fire) can be devastating even without buffing it, its just a little too short a range.
Secondaries are meh and are not worth buffing, it will still hurt DD's and CL/CA's though.
Overall, im liking her

Well to add to my fleet of P2W Royal Navy ships (HMS Warspite and HMS Hood), I have purchased HMS Belfast.
Well what can you say about this cruiser?
She's bloody good, I can see why people call her OP and she is, ok she is soft and squishy but with smoke, radar and hydro and a fantastic camo rating, she is near impossible to spot at ranges over 11km.
So at the moment i'm only doing PVE in her to get a hang of how she plays, but so far she seems pretty good with HE spam on most ships.
Speed wise, no quicker at the top to HMS Hood, but she gets there quick and she is pretty agile so can keep out of trouble when dodging shells.
Smoke screen lasts quite a while and with a 7ish second reload and all 12 guns pointing at something, you can pretty much put 12 or 13 barrages down before moving out of your smoke before it dissipates.
Not really used the hydro acoustics yet but the radar works well, i see why this was ship was used in ranked battles.
Guns are not bad, low chance of fire from HE but you can spam shed loads, add to that, that her AA is pretty good out of the box, its not hard to see how she is a little op.
Squishiness... oh she is, your armour won't stop much that is thrown in your direction, agility is your friend as you are not really THAT quick, get hit by a BB and you are pretty much out of the game in one salvo
I've only played a few games but yes, one that is worth buying

I actually nearly downloaded this the other day, my potato laptop would be able to open the game (though not run it smoothly during gameplay), just so I could buy a premium ship in the WG summer sale, but decided against it as my internet speed it also potato and the 40gb download would have taken a day and a half to complete - changing to fibre soon, thank the lord. Much like tanks, I think jumping in with a tier VIII premium and no battle experience is a terrible idea, they don't call it the "Derpitz" for nothing right? I think I'll get some low and mid tier stuff to help me into the game, although I'm already fairly well versed in the gameplay mechanics having watched countless hours of gameplay on YouTube and read the entire WOWS wiki.
I don't think I've ever been so excited to play a game and I don't understand where this has come from as for the last 2 years or so I've been fully aware of the existence of this game but not really felt bothered about playing it. I'm due a house move in the semi-near future hopefully, so once that is all done I'll be building a gaming PC to rival a NASA supercomputer and getting down to naval destruction.

You'll need to get over your potato console addon aversion tooI don't think I've ever been so excited to play a game and I don't understand where this has come from as for the last 2 years or so I've been fully aware of the existence of this game but not really felt bothered about playing it.
