Yes, there's supposed to be a new behatted Pikachu available as part of the build up to the 1st anniversary event. Oddly enough I've just had one with no headgear appear. First one I've seen for ages.

I've seen the shadow of the Ash hatted Pikachu a couple of times today, but not caught one yet.

Although he definitely had nothing on his head when I caught him earlier, my latest Pikachu is now sporting a white hat.

Yes, the Pikachu I got before the restart was just the normal sort, no hat. Then when the event started a hatted one appeared in the wild. I guess they changed the spawn rate and forgot to change some sort of setting to point to the event version.

I was driving with my son in the passenger seat yesterday. He suddenly gets excited - Dad, Dad, there's a new Pokemon nearby. I've no idea what it is, but it looks a bit like a Pikachu with a hat.

So I pull over, we go back and find the Pokemon and it is indeed a Pikachu with a hat ...

Currently on a Baltic cruise. Have left 2 Pokémon in gyms in St Petersburg since yesterday morning. Looks like Russian gyms aren't that busy. Got a Pikachu with baseball hat in Tallinn today.

I'm starting to save a few high CP evolutions from grinding to chuck in high turnover gyms. It doesn't really matter what is in there, it's gonna come back. So when they come back, I swap them for Candy when they're dead. Saves on revives and potions...

Haha, forget where that one was as got a few gyms over the weekend. I just put random mons in when I don't know the area, but having a full mix is always good.

Don't expect it back too soon, that gym only tends to turn over twice a week.
