Just go to your avatar and there is a friend's tab where you will see gifts that have been sent and if you tap a friend you can send one.

It seems you can get 20 gifts a day from Pokestops.

Probably already been asked but how often can we expect to pick up gifts at Pokestops?

I know it’s the same for everyone - but I now suddenly have eight friends, so if I only collect one gift a day it’ll take a week just to go round and distribute a gift to everyone!!!

I got five gifts yesterday off stops so it’s not one per day. I think I read max is 20.
You can only gift one per person.

Think thats me made it through my friends list of you lot with a gift each. Hopefully pick up lots tomorrow to gift again.

It seems to be a maximum of 5 gifts from stops in your inventory at any one time. But as soon as you send them (or I suppose delete them) it frees up space to collect more.

You can only hold five presents in your inventory. However you can keep sending those (up to one hundred I think) and keep collecting the presents.

You can only open twenty from other people a day.

Thank you to everyone who's been friending me and sending gifts, I'm doing my best to keep up, but I wasn't able to spin much yesterday, so will get more gifts out as and when I can.

I'm trying to make sure I have a couple of gifts to open ready for when I have an egg about to hatch, so I can try and force a yellow and pink egg out of a gift. It took the second one to get the egg using that method this morning.

As far as my friend is telling me, to can hold up to 5 gifts, open up to 20 a day, and send as many as you like but no more than one per friend per day. If they haven't opened your gift yet, you can't send another.

There are XP bonuses for "friending up" with 100,000 XP for becoming a Best Friend, which I think takes about 89 days.

It's a good idea to save opening a gift until you have an empty egg slot.

If you already have 9 eggs you can't get another egg (one of the special 7km Alohan ones) from a gift, just balls, potions etc.

Sent another few gifts out to folks here today, hope you got something decent!

Gifts have already been nerfed it seems. Still reasonable tackle (ultra balls, max revives etc) but only 1 or 2 each instead of the 5-10 I was getting until this afternoon.

Probably a good thing.

Yep, they've really taken a hatchet to what you can receive from a gift.

From Reddit:

Regular Ball 5 > 3
Great Ball 5 > 2
Ultra Ball 5 > 1
Regular Potion 2 > 1
