Went to Saltwell park in Gateshead for community day, it's a fantastic park anyway and is really good for PG, on a community day it is literally packed out with geeks :-)
Girlfriend and I both got well over 700 candies, 5 shiny for me an 6 for her. Happy with that!
There's a good community in Newcastle! Plenty of regulars raiding during their lunch hour, and plenty more raiding seemingly all day (damn students)Girlfriend and I both got well over 700 candies, 5 shiny for me an 6 for her. Happy with that!
If you're not on the discord group I'd recommend it.
I had a good community day, 7 shiniest but not great IV for any of them - I did manage a 94% normal one though

Done the first stage and part 1 of the second stage, also need to find some new pokestops (got 3/8 done) and get on with catching everything that appears!!
My mate introduced me to the Quick Catch method, which is definitely quicker:https://pokemongohub.net/post/guide/skip-pokemon-b...
Should be useful for the 108 to catch thing. Just find somewhere busy, and clear it.
For anyone doing the 108 berry-feeding task, I have noticed that if you use a berry and the pokemon escapes, there is no need to use another like you would normally.
If you catch it on the second or third throw without using another berry, it still counts towards the task as you used one initially.
Might help those who are running low on berry supplies!!

It's a credit each time you use a berry, not each catch. So if you have a Legendary from your weekly tasks, and you work through all your Nanaberries, "accidentally" not getting Nice, Great or Excellent so it pops each time, you'll get 20 credits towards the task. (Extreme example.)If you catch it on the second or third throw without using another berry, it still counts towards the task as you used one initially.

Berry drop rate from Pokestops is waaaaay down at the moment, I must have spun 50 or more last night, and should have been swimming in them, but no.
I'm a little over half way in the catch 108 Pokemon task, so we'll see how I get on. Might have it finished tonight.
