The Assetto Corsa Weekly Challenge
Discussion
Just a side question, what views do you use (non VR) in the challenges.
With open cockpit cars I always use the cockpit view, with closed cockpit cars I used to use the bonnet cam if it looked right or the dashboard cam that you can't move.
But now I am using cockpit cam for all closed cars but I am moving the camera all the way forward to almost dashboard cam style trying to match up my view with the wheel in front of me, helps if the car has shift lights on the wheel too. Like this, might go further forward sometimes.

The Sauber feels like a tank after driving the 962! The Porsche actually stops properly!

The problem I found with the Porsche is that when it locks up, it slews instead of locking up evenly. Especially coming into the second chicane, it would slew to the right, into the barrier, unless the braking was heavily moderated coming down through the gears. I've never known any other car that does it! Meanwhile in the Sauber, I found it very hard to moderate my right foot coming out of corners and not spin when the turbo came on boost..... many Saubers were harmed in the making of my laptime
Anyway, here's my best 3 times.....

Only had time for a go in the Sauber. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmVb22PKULI
Tending to brake early then bleeding the braking off (never full braking into the corners) to get the best turn in then waiting for ages to start to use the throttle. It's one of those cars that is faster by not driving it like you stole it. Hanging onto it through Ascari essential for speed down to Parabolica.

The next few weeks I shall revert back to existing cars/tracks until it does come out.

Why not Monza (again) but the 1966 layout with the Lotus 49. Grand Prix Legends.
I've tried the 1966 track with lots of different cars and its always bloody boring. The '49 and Highlands were such a great match. What I'll do is bring forward another challenge I had planned instead.
Barsteward!
You mean Iv just spent the last hour learning a new track and fine tuning the car to knock 6seconds off for a 2:30.8. And Iv got start all over again ! Grrrrrr.
There was me thinking the lads with the wheel/pedals will walk it with a low 2:20 if not less
Oh well back to the drawing board
No porches or aldi for me !

Not been on here for a while but have AC and the DLC packs for PS4 so will see what sort of attempt I can do. I'm also looking to run a 2-class series through GTPlanet on Tuesday nights if anyone on here is interested? New 2017 Porsche RSR 911 GTE in the faster class with the BMW M235i Racing in the slower one. PM me on here if interested. Now time to sling a Porsche around Barcelona!

A lot of the "vs" challenges I do are a way to use the DLC cars for those that have them, by pitting them against equivalent base content cars. However, you should have the Audi as it is free DLC from ages ago - was it you who's game we reckon is wonky because several bits of free DLC have been missing from it so far?
Hmm, interesting. When selecting cars I go by this list:

Evidently it's wrong in the case of the R8, which is interesting as I'd been totally reliant on its accuracy (what with owning all the DLC cars myself)
