So, I think I've found a cheap PC upgrade that will extend its life and up performance hugely, I've bought a Xeon X5670 chipset which will fit my Mobo and overclock massively...

This now means my PC budget can be spent elsewhere, I'm working up to this bad boy...

http://www.prosimu-shop.com/en/simulator-t1000/63-...

This hobby is getting expensive...

I mentioned it to SWMBO tonight and she didn't say no to me spending the money, she said "I don't want a motion rig in there it's too big...", I keep telling her size isn't everything smile

I'll keep working on it.

Its certainly a rabbit hole biggrin
I've recently added SimVibe to my rig, which is awesome and provides another level of immersion, and then Sim Lab are comming out with a motion add-on kit for my rig....

I've got 4 transponders in chassis mode, I need to move them a bit as I don't think I'm getting the full effect. What's your setup?

Ok I've got 3 straight wins in real time now, stop taking it easy on me, I'm not used to this.

Into the classics section of the championship now with the BMW 2002 at Road America...get the flat caps and string backs out and get on it guys...

Sorry bud, I had a good session on Monday. My first laps were in the 1:34's so over the session I managed to knock almost 5 seconds off. Some of the track cut penalties seemed a bit harsh. Cock up in the last sequence of corners and it invalidated the current and next lap...I just kept pushing. I'm not usually a fan of the downforce cars, but the LMP2 was quite driveable...no KERS or DRS to faff about with either...

Handicaps are going to be very powerful on the new combo with it being quite a long lap in a fairly slow car, will have to be wary of that in future championships. Maybe I should have run the combos rather than just blindly picking them out of thin air. I think I'm going to struggle with that one...

This looks like the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

I may have to spend a couple grand to get a PC and oculus just based on these videos!

I have joined the website, I see its already halfway through the 'season'. Am I still ok to join in?

I joined on the last race of the previous season and just started on that, obviously no chance of me winning but just started practicing. So can't see why not pal.
