I've got 4 transponders in chassis mode, I need to move them a bit as I don't think I'm getting the full effect. What's your setup?
Just 2 ADX Maximus tranducers under the seat in chassis mode based on the front 2 wheels. WOuld liek to go to 4 but dont really want to have to buy another amp to run 2 more transducers :/

Lepy amps

Good news Mark, you don't need to rewrite anything for us to move to PCARS2, there is an option in the shared memory settings to use PCARS1 UDP data instead...

Confirmed it by running a few laps of current combo, no advantage gained as I was 9 seonds slower than my PCars1 time wink

Well that's a bloody relief, don't think shared memory would work cross-platform

Well I'm back from my hols and it looks like everything's been ticking along fine in my absence.

So, just to let you know and give you fair warning, for the next championship I'll be introducing leagues for the Real-Time bit. Depending on the final numbers of people playing the cut-off to be in League 1 will either be the top 8 or 10. Everyone else and new joiners get thrown into League 2 and we'll have a 2 up 2 down promotion/relegation thing going.

So if you want to play with the big boys get some times in and get yourself higher in the real-times league.

Handicapped stuff stays the same with everyone thrown together.

Hope this is ok with everyone, trying to make the real-time bit have a bit more interest for those of us who aren't in the "sh!t off a shovel" ability category

Welcome back Mark...did you drown anybody? Would you recommend a floating caravan holiday?

I seem to be doing quite well in this championship, but I do think everyone is taking it easy on me.

Not sure about the floating caravan. Was nice to see new places every day, but it's bloody cramped. Probably ticked that box now and try something else next year.

Yes, looking very much like you've got this one all sewn up already, need xjay/tronneh to step up and give you a run for your money

Mark, if you're struggling to find time in combos I find it helpful to follow a ghost that's slightly quicker. Then once you catch that one, pick another a bit quicker etc. etc. it's good for working out how late you can brake into the tougher corners.

Yup, I often follow your ghost so if you feel your ears burning, it's me screaming how the bloody hell has he got round that corner so quick, although to be honest there's a few more expletives than that

Brake earlier and get the car set up for the corner properly...honestly overshooting the corner is the way I lose the most time because it affects your speed all the way down the following straight, when maybe you lose a tenth of a second on the way in to the last of the late brakers...

Tronneh is incoming, he's within half a second now. Only a matter of time...

Edit: So I had another blast last night to keep up the challenge, weird coincidence I'm 0.082 up in the real time and 0.082 down in the handicapped times to Tronneh...not much in it.

Hi folks. New job started so won't have time to play for a while.

Off to Folembray in France on Saturday for some real trackday fun :-)

Then check you've got a tick in the top left to ensure you're using the correct combo.

Finally check that you get a tick in the sent column. If you don't, hovering over it should give you more info.

Just done a test lap and it's working ok for me.

It's logged in ok but it doesn't think I'm driving anything. Can other network traffic effect it?

Unless you have some real complicated network setup at home the UDP feed should rattle around your home network and be picked up. You have got UDP turned on in Project Cars???

I have a feeling I'll be unable to give it a bash tonight. Another one I miss out on. I used my free time yesterday to fit a rear bumper and mirror covers to my real car instead. laugh

Nothing complex, only asking as Iplayer was on at the same time. UDP will be on unless it has turned itself off! The laptop has done an update since last week, I'll try another one.
