Are the games still all 50?
You can get some of the first party Mario titles for about 40, maybe less secondhand

Ta. I hate paying £50 for games like this especially if my boy will only play for 10 mins!

Nintendo are the Caterham of the gaming world, their titles very rarely get discounted by a huge amount and hold their value really well.

Had a go of one for the first time at the weekend, christ those controllers are tiny! The right thumb stick feels like it's halfway down my thumb. I wouldn't imagine it wouldn't be comfortable to use for hours on end.

My six year old niece has no problems using them, suspect she is a little more the target audience?!?

I got a Switch at christmas.

I work in the video games industry, so it felt appropriate that I have one for the travelling I do. I didn't really need an excuse mind!

Another use is to see if the other half will play a bit. I bought Overcooked and we had a go at the weekend.

Hilarious game to play with more than one person, could definitely see it causing amusing arguments.

Another good co-op type games to play, for a non-gaming girlfriend? Any recommendations?

I'm loving my Switch, I've had it since October. I've always been a Nintendo fan but went towards xbox during the wii and wii u era. I think I played our wii u only a handful of times.

I travel a lot and its invaluable, in fact I've only ever docked it once and only to see what it was like on the TV... I just play it with the controllers on the side of the screen.

I've only actually bought Zelda and Mario as cartridges so far. I had MK on the wii u and as good as it was I don't fancy paying out for it again! Zelda is amazing and colossal, I'm giving it a rest as it is so big! I've played Mario twice, just not that bothered with it so far.

What I really like is the indie games you can download. Undertale was fantastic, I've recently got Into the Breach and A Night in the Woods.

I really hope they start bringing on N64 games onto the store...

yikes

My son got up at about 9.00 am this morning, checked his bank account online, and a cheque (small inheritance) had cleared. So he ordered himself a Switch, the 'Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!' edition, from Nintendo UK.

Just over an hour later Hermes delivered the console, a Pro Controller, a case, a key ring and some thumb grips and it's been unboxed already!!!

Ordered, delivered, and opened in less than 90 minutes? How is this even possible??? Witchcraft, I tell thee!

It's more impressive than their delivery estimate even! When he checked his phone it said "We will attempt delivery at approximately 12.00 noon today". We both rolled our eyes in an "as if it'll be delivered today!" fashion, but to their credit their target was ambitious and they then beat it by some margin.

The console has been fired up, and the pre-loaded game is on there. It appears to work although he's currently trying to remember how to sign in to his Nintendo account. It was "set up on my 3DS years ago and I haven't used it in ages..." I don't think he can remember his log-in stuff at all. The only criticism so far is the fact that the Eevee keyring that came in the package is, lets just say, a little "overly large" to be of any use as an actual keyring. It's about the size of a small teddy bear...

My son got Splatoon 2 for the Switch 18 months ago. He decided to trade it in last week in GAME and got £32 for it.

That's the kind of second hand value that is unheard of for other platforms.

Snipperclips - there was a demo available, so worth a try.

Death Squared - co-op puzzle game. Great fun, if you like that sort of thing. Lots of amusing arguements as you work together to get to the goal, but repeatedly end up killing one another.

Thanks buddy. Snipperclips was on the list, but hadn't heard of Death Squared.

My 8 year old unlocked every character within 48 hours of starting to play it if that helps?

I got a Switch for Christmas and it is absolutely brilliant. I have about an hour and a half each way commute into work, so it's helped pass the time massively.

Zelda BOTW is outstanding, one of the best games I've ever played for sure!

Love the Switch but why is it so hard to remove the slide on buttons when you have the controllers away from the unit!

They have side, make sure you're not using the right hand one with the left hand controller.
