Very disappointing by Nintendo, a lazy effort.
Still selling every single Switch they can squeeze into a shipping container, CEX still selling used units above RRP, still taking at least 50% of the software charts every single week...so all the usual reasons for upgrading hardware are pretty much redundant at the moment, I'm surprised they've even done this to be honest with the state of play re: electronics. The 'Pro' was only ever a rumour so people only have themselves to blame for expecting anything other than Nintendo's usual 'XL' type refresh.
The new dock with the network port will work with current/old Switches and it will be available from Nintendo. https://kotaku.com/you-can-buy-the-new-nintendo-sw...

Has anyone played Zelda Breath of the Wild? Is it suitable for a middle aged man?
Not my type of game at all, I'm 35 and absolutely loved it, put in many more hours than i thought I would. Think of you have played Skyrim at all then it's enjoyable. I enjoyed the lack of having specific levels to do just wanted in the game and bump into things really.Nintendo direct day was today
48 new tracks for Mario Kart
Splatoon 3
Mario Soccer
Nintendo Switch Sports (i.e. Wii Sports 2)
etc
New Zelda not announced though.
Also Mario Kart in the E-Shop is dropped down to £33 on offer if anyone wants it.

Grabbed Hotline Miami 1 and 2 recently for a few $ on the US store (switch region, purchase, switch back).
Already have the game on most other platforms but well worth having on the handheld Switch, such a daft, fun game to play on the go...
What I love about the Switch though, and Nintendo's games in general , is that they're just great to switch on and unwind with.. I find that a lot of games I play on PC are more 'intense' for lack of a better word, which is fun but sometimes after being sat at my desk all day for work, can feel a bit exhausting to then sit at for another few hours to play games on.
With the Switch I either dock it and play it on the big TV in the armchair, or sit on the sofa with the dog and play Mario or Zelda handheld..
Have to agree, though I'm currently working my way through a breath of the wild dungeon with the expansion pass which requires some very tricky manoeuvring and dodging, no saves allowed either which is making getting through it very stressful!
