None of that bothers me at all
Don't really care about the lore/story aspect, never have. As long as they give me virtual guns to go and shoot virtual aliens in their virtual faces, I'll be a happy Guardian
For solo players, the guided games should still work as intended. Play normal mode raid via guided games with a group and, as long as you're not a complete dick, chances are you will make PSN/Xbox live friends and/or join a clan and then have people to do hard mode with.
Nothing that happens in PvP concerns me (until they nerf my favourite weapons to 'balance' the crucible, that is )
Obviously console exclusives aren't a problem for me either as I'm a PS4 player (sorry).
Resolution/frame rate? Again, not bothered as I don't have a 4K TV and I'm sure that D2 will still look great and be a blast to play.
I'm confident that D2 will feel like far more than an expansion but, none of us will know for sure until September.
Still hyped though

Replying on a few topics:-
1. If it's a boy and he seems likely to be powerfully built then I would suggest Rockets McDickface!? A great career in films would await.
2. A lot of the e3 stuff seems a bit overblown. The resolution will be 4k 30fps, the story stuff was taken out of context etc...but I do think it's stty that all the loose ends from D1 will never be cleared up.
3. I can't see many people choosing a sniper in PvP unless they are realkraffty...unless they make rockets completely slow and dodgeable then the great unskilled will be better off with rockets.

I was underwhelmed too but I digitally pre-ordered so I'm getting it whether I want it or not.
I've seen that super cooldowns are supposed to be dropped across the board so hopefully that will help make general gameplay more enjoyable.
I'm still not sure about the reduced ability cooldowns or the weapon system. Elemental or not I don't get the theory behind two primary weapons and then choosing between a secondary or a heavy.
I guess I'll find out if my concerns are valid or not when we get to play it properly.

Are people excited for this. I played the beta and was underwhelmed...
I'm still reasonably excited, despite not really being able to fully experience the beta (Moose error every time I played!) There have supposedly been a number of tweaks since the beta making cooldowns quicker and pve damage higher. The elemental primaries will apparently have strategic uses. For example, some shielded enemies when killed with a matching elemental weapon will explode, causing damage to other nearby enemies. Not sure how convinced I am by any of that, I think they're just trying to justify the fact that they changed everything to balance PvP and now they're realising the community at large wasn't impressed by the watered down PvE experience in the beta. I don't buy that bullst response that we were all playing an earlier build, I think they have actually changed the meta as a direct result of beta feedback....which is a good thing.
No matter what, it is going to be lots of fun playing with all the losers I used to knock about with on Vanilla Destiny (you all know who you are )
And yes, I have booked the week off work
Yep, very much looking forward to this. I've also gone digital download this time so I'm getting it whatever the reaction
The content in the beta was very limited so I'm not going to judge it on that alone although it became clear quite quickly that there needs to be some significant tweaking around supers, power ammo drops etc. Plus of course we were playing with very limited guns and armour - there is gonna be a ton of different stuff to try out on release of the full game and all the perks that exist that we simply weren't party to
Looking forward to doing the Clan stuff this time around too - whilst there is D1, they didn't form part of the experience at all for me
Incidentally, pre-load of the full game commences next week for XBox One and from the 31st August for PS4 according to the latest Bungie TWAB - not sure why the XB1 is so much earlier than PS4, but hey for once you guys get something first!

Yep, it'll be a blast whatever.I share your concerns that the weapon system has been designed to make PvP easier to balance at the expense of PvE, though Bungie have stated they've dramatically changed the way boss encounters work so we'll no longer need to be packing massive burst damage into a ten second window.
I'm all in, regardless. The best part of Destiny was simply cocking around with a group of friends, so the opportunity to do that with new abilities, weapons, armour and environments is something to look forward to as far as I'm concerned.

This is one seriously well optimized game. It's running buttery smooth at around 100FPS at virtually everything maxed. My only critique so far is I wish the walking speed was just a touch faster
Once you find a few rare/legendary/exotic items, they'll have mobililty boosts attached. These will increase walk speed, as well as jump height and strafe speed. A lot of reports online of PC players getting banned for the game thinking overlays like Discus and MSI or GEforce experience software being seen as cheats and perma banning accounts, and bungie are saying nothing or denying it.
This wont end well if they dont unban people if its a software incompatibility issue with most PC users everyday overlays.
