I saved fuel.... P11 start... finished P3 ... bearing in mind I'm a slow driver (on controller) but racing now in DR B! - no refuelling! keeping it on the black stuff also helps, most people have at least 1 off!
Found the same! Reading here decided to give fuel saving a go, most races started 10-16th and finished around the top 5. I think the unforgiving runoff has a lot to do with it, on some other tracks you can just power over the tarmac, but Brands you just get sucked into the grass/gravel.
Yeh, not much point in running high fuel when you're stuck in traffic and can't overtake.... if you can keep with the pack on map4 or something thats the way forward...

Think back to previous GT’s when they had hundreds of cars, how many did you actually use?
I have about 130 unique cars in Sport, I would say there are only 10-15 I’ve ever driven, and under 5 that get used regularly

Lack of tracks is the biggest issue for me.

My complaint would be, why are there so few cars and tracks? Its really limited.....Pretty poor IMO and if previous GT games are similar why are they so popular.
They have promised more cars and tracks over the next couple months. I am definitely looking forward to more content

Given that this GT game is meant to be more race focused than previous versions, I too am a bit disappointed especially by the number of tracks and cars, in particular the real ones. How comes we have an FIA game where half the cars and tracks are made up!?

I will never drive any road car out of choice, or any VGT, or even any of the more far fetched gr3/4 cars like the beetle etc so my roster is even more limited. I also don't enjoy any of the new tracks, with the exception of lake maggiore, so circuits are pretty limited too.

Luckily I have assetto corsa for my proper racing car / track fix

Depends how you play.. After a while I usually just buy a new car mess around with tuning each time.

Even if you specifically only have 10 favourites, I can guarantee there won't be much overlap with other players except for the "overpowered" vehicles.

Agreed, number of cars isn't really an issue for me, for this reason, it's the lack of tracks. The new made up tracks are a bit of a breath of fresh air after pounding round places like the Autumn Ring for years and years - given the fact they're made up etc, they're not bad and you can have quite a bit of fun with them. I'm glad they've made these new ones as opposed to just cutting and pasting the old ones from earlier games and giving them a quick texture refresh. That being said, there needs to be more real-world tracks - focus on these rather than some more cars.

I’ve not really ever driven the GT3 RS much apart from those couple of licence tests, have just tried it on the daily race and what a beast it is! Love it! That exhaust crackle is so addictive biggrin
I hope it appears more often.

Regarding other cars, I would be a lot more willing to try them if they were competitive

Must admit, I'm getting frustrated now. I'm 3 seconds a lap off the pace of Nurburgring GP today. I had a problem when they did an update a while ago which cost me a load of speed but I thought I'd recovered some of that after the latest update. Now I think I'm right in saying that I'm generally further off the pace than I've ever been. I watch replays and I'm on similar lines but clearly I'm doing something very wrong. Braking distances are night and day and the way people can turn on the brakes is completely foreign, regardless of brake balance setting. I can't get a sniff of the front of the grid, and if you can't do that then you're screwed.

I don't see the point of putting tyre and fuel use on the dailies in the races aren't long enough to force a stop, or some fuel saving. The penalty for using DS4 is massive - the time differential between fastest and slowest laps is roughly twice what the fast guys are managing. I have neither the money nor space for a wheel/pedals etc. It would be great if I could filter results by DS4 to see what other people are doing or whether I'm getting slower as others get faster.

Pootling around in 7th/8th/9th is getting old, fast. My average finish is 7th in both FIA and dailies, average qualifying is 10th. I'm bored. I've just done a daily C and other than overtaking a car when he made a mistake near the start and him then overtaking me once he got up to speed, I never saw another car. I had a consistent 2-3 second gap ahead and a varying gap behind of an average of 5 seconds.

The fact the game is so light on the offline content is a huge bummer for me. Lovely game, love the way it drives etc. But I don't pay for PSN as I don't have time to make the most of it.

Finding daily C a good one today, after last nights races I'm farming my DR+SR back up and currently C/B so still a way to go.
I've been very lucky to stay out of trouble but the nring is great for overtakes in gr4 at least, loads of different lines into and out of sections means there's less chance of being bumped off by someone else - but they still bloody try!

BH was like bumper cars for me last night and I was in the B/S group.
Me too. I was on B/S but now on B/A because of me getting hit.
Definitely a case of waiting until they went off, rather than trying to make a move, I found it happened often!

Limited without PSN, though they may add some more content over time.

Worth shopping around for a PSN offer, they often come up. I think I paid £35 for the 12 months last time.

Yeah, which is a real shame as GT6 was the pinnacle of the series for me. Didn't have to pay for online play with that!

I will keep an eye out. Right now I've too much on to even think about looking for it let alone using it.

Just done my best ever quali on Willow Springs. 6th in a field of 9 S/S and 11 A/S. Console locked up during the race launch phase.

Someone at PD is mocking me.

ETA. The game lock-up counted as an entry so I can't do the race again and it took 1200 DR points off me. fking .

I feel your pain. No wifi here so tethering through my phone 4/5 bar connection but sometimes I get disconnected, especially bad on FIA races!

Just finished the FIA at Interlagos, cane 16th but amazing close racing, minimal bumping for a change!

Time to open another account! Go terrorise some E/B players smile There's an American alien who has 3 accounts, he's working on his eu one at the moment, Imagine your first fia gr3 race at Panarama and the pole is 2:03 smile

I did a couple of laps and was too far off the top times to keep trying. I could see a 1;50 but the top 10 were 1:47. At that point there's no point, as those would be the guys I'd be matched with.

I might do that later, just for the sake of understanding the systems and scoring better.

Is that on 4G?
I’ve been wondering how good/reliable that would be
