After a bit of practice the Beetle was worth 2 secs over the Ferrari smile It rides the kerbs way better and kills the Ferrari in those fast curves, I'm still 1.7 off the leaderboard though..
@Ferry I've had to resort to CSA to get within .5 of you in the Nissan smile

I see even Tidgney used it smile Squeezed into the 19's with the Nissan smile I was on a bit later today, unfortunately the races seem to be getting a bit bargey now.

With good clean racers it's a good track. That very rarely, if ever, happens.

What's your tag? Had another wee go earlier and got down to a 2:01.1. Still can't get my lap but leaves me as 6th Brit just now.

trevonick...going to try and stick to this account now for GTS and PC2, if you're using a controller have a look at heisenbergs lap, I had a good race with luca and lecteraan yesterday and picked up a couple of tenths from them.

Took part in the weekly races and apart from some clumsiness at the Redbull ring, the were pretty clean and fun. I thought I'd hate them. Really like the 300ZX as that slides all over the place.

I must get into the online side of this game. Been trying to perfect my driving by doing all the campaign stuff to date. Managed 100% on driving school and 99% on both mission challenge and circuit experience, and on the sport mode main races just waiting to accumulate another couple of £m to buy a car for the 1979 Nostalgic event.

So far I've completely avoided playing online and have enjoyed the single player aspect. Is it worth bothering with online, or have I foolishly been missing out on the best part of the game?

It's definitely worth it although it can be very frustrating at times especially with some of the idiots that try to overtake in non overtaking places.

That's the big reason I never bothered with it, I had visions of driving the perfect x number of laps only to be taken out on the last one by some **** "just for a laugh innit"

On the other hand, playing against the AI in campaign mode isn't exactly a fair playing field. I'll have a look at it over the weekend and see if I can get into it.

It can be bad but sometimes if you hit someone by accident, they may think you've done it on purpose and retaliate but in all fairness that rarely happens. The problem I have is that I'm the one making a mistake on the last lap and end up messing up big time.

Give it a go as you can end up in some races with the same people and have a good and respectful time.

I'm over 1000 online races now across 3 accounts, best part of the game by miles for me, although I do enjoy the circuit experience and regularly revisit it to try and improve my times. If I race someone who's clean then I send them a friend request, it makes finding clean lobbies much easier and it's someone to compare times with, I go for the more the merrier approach. It's a given that at sometime you're going to get punted, but it won't be every race and as your SR improves you can go days with clean racing. Feel free to add me PSN trevonick

I've no idea how to add friends on GT Sport as I'm more of a "load the disc and play" guy. If anyone wants to add me my PSN ID is pvig73

I can only play an hour or two a week and so don't bother with online, I just do the qualifying as a weekly time trial. Probably missing out big time with the actual racing (I generally don't bother racing AI) but as long as I've got a few friends times to target it's good enough for me at the mo

From my point of view I found online Sport mode massively frustrating.

You can try all you want to be clean, but I think the main way you get to the levels where you get less contact is to be very very fast in every race you enter.

As if you are just decent, you will get moved up and down the grid as you progress, so you will end up starting front for a few and you might pick up wins, poles and clean races, but, then they will drop down the grids, forcing you to race cleanly. Unless you are alien fast and can always qualify on the front row, which means you get less chance of mingling with the gormo's.

I found the penalty system utterly useless. Compared to others I have used

But I did find lobby races good fun, which is what I spent most of my time doing eventually after losing the will to live playing Sport mode. Lobbies were good fun, less pressure, and if you meet idiots, then be an idiot back, just good fun!!

Not a bad selection of races this week, although if I remember rightly we had the Mini at Suzuka not that long ago, Gr4 at Seaside ll and Gr3 at Panarama shouldn't be too bad, apart from the chicane of death!

@viggy you'll need to change your settings if you want people to add you smile I did a bit of qualifying in the Mini and got bored pretty quick, did a race and groaned when I realised I had 7 laps to do, unusually for me it looks like I'll be in the group cars this week.

That was my feeling when the mini was last featured. I’ll definitely do the Gr4 race at Dragon Trail.

Did you mean changing my settings on the PS4 or in the game? Sorry for sounding like a moron.
