Just as well it's down as another punt fest at Miyabi wasn't helping my mood. The Gr3 Ferrari was ok at DTG and the races were clean, and there's no way I'm racing Gr1 at the ring
@TPS can't say it's changed much really, the penalty system was changed to allow a bit more contact, which I think is a mistake, the daily A has had some interesting cars which has made a nice change, apart from that just more of the same, when you get in a race with like minded people the game is sublime.

Today's daily's are:
Kyoto Driving Park - One make and I'm not a fan of the short circuit (the app doesn't state what vehicle it is)
Dragon Trail Gardens - Gr.3 but I don't get on with that track for some reason
Nordschleife - Gr.1 - Potential punt fest (I'm DR "B" and SR "S")
Ooh I haven't tried gr1 on Nordschleife yet might give qually time a go.Kyoto Driving Park - One make and I'm not a fan of the short circuit (the app doesn't state what vehicle it is)

There is an update coming end of July. Rumours are it may contain new tyre model (and new track too - confirmed)
Did the daily B & C race yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed them. I was hoping for my 5th consecutive clean race but someone spun in front of me and I had nowhere else to go so ended up tapping them and I got a fg 5 sec penalty. Qualified 12th and finished 4th but could've had 2nd.
Still some punters out there though.

X bow races have been good, back to B/S now Did a couple of Gr B races, bit risky on the SR though. Looking forward to the update.
I saw that the Gr.B race is being held at Streets of Willow and I'm basically thinking "no way Pedro". That's one race I won't go anywhere near. What vehicle is being used at the Nurburgring GP today? So been playing this the last few weeks, but struggling online.
Willow gr.b car. Can qualify with a 1.17.4 but that only puts me down in 6 or 7 place. Pole seems to be 1.06.
Race starts, 1st corner comes up, get punted off, and then get a 10sec penalty, can't slow down and then need to work my arse off to get 1st or 2nd, (and then fall down the table due to the penalty).
How are they qualifying that quick? They are not that quick in the race.
How are other drivers clearing their penalty without losing time? I've followed a few that dropped their penalty while maintaining the cap ahead or behind me.

I'm guessing 1.06 lap time involves some course cutting, there were people doing legit 1.13's in the 2 races I did today. It's difficult to drop a 10 sec penalty, a 1 sec penalty for course cutting is fairly easy to get rid of.Willow gr.b car. Can qualify with a 1.17.4 but that only puts me down in 6 or 7 place. Can anyone enlighten me how getting the "daily workout" cars works please? Been a tad annoyed with it lately.
The past few times I've played the game (both Sport and Campaign modes), I've easily done over 200 miles but always seem to miss the very expensive cars and get the slowest cars available such as the Mazda MX5/BMW i3 and the not so slow Civic Type R of which I have 9 of the damn things.
I've decided to just do lots of campaign races to get more credit so I can purchase the likes of the Ferrari 330 etc and guarantee that when I do buy one, I'll fg win it straight after.

It's random. The mileage you do doesnt make a difference. I got a P4 off a minimal mileage. I've probably had 6 or 7 Mitos and Golfs. It's as you'd expect really, the high value cars are less frequently handed out than the cheap stuff. I bought one of everything and if I get another on the mileage awards I just sell the bought one and recoup some of the purchase price.
I'd hardly played GTS for the past couple of months - just got bored with the same combos over and over again (due to the lack of track variation). So I bought Project Cars 2 last week on Prime Day - it was only £16.
It's nowhere near as good as GTS for graphics, interface & load times. But it's miles better for track choice (absolutely brilliant being able to run Cadwell, Donny, Knockhill, Oulton & Snetterton) and the physics feel so much better than GTS.
I doubt the on-line will be anywhere near as good as GTS, but the single player side is absolutely huge... and unlike GTS, can be a decent challenge with adjustable AI strength,
Crazy that a small game producer like SMS can cram so much more content in to their game than PD with all their resources.

Yeah, you're right but I just got a tad frustrated seeing some of the pricey cars shadowed and typically getting the normal cars. We'll see what I get tonight I got the Sauber the other day, not that I'll ever use it
Penalties...I find it best to just accept that sometimes they're unfair, bloody annoying though!
I don't really get bored with the lack of tracks, I mainly do the daily A race so I'll do half a dozen of them and then go back to the real world, I'm not a fan of the pit stop races, not sure why, they just seem a bit meh..
I watched one of Tidgneys videos where he was racing rallycross on PC2, looked pretty good, @Chris does PC2 have an Assetto Corsa feel to the physics? Is there much tuning/setup?

PC2 is a closer to AC than it is to GTS.Despite investing a lot of time in to the game (enough to get platinum), I was never blown away by AC physics like most seem to be - I thought the cars felt a bit dull, and for the most part, had little or no feeling of rotation in to the corners, or when I lifted the throttle mid corner to move the weight around... for the most part, going quickly in AC became a matter of managing front end grip.
GTS is far too floaty to be considered realistic... race cars are OK, but to me, road cars feel worse than GT5P/GT5/GT6.
PC2 so far (I'm only 10 hours in, and have only driven a handful of cars), feels really good.
Tuning? Pretty much everything is adjustable - similar to AC in this respect. You can adjust such things as steering ratio, brake duct size, radiator duct size, as well as almost every aspect of the suspension. I've only scratched the surface so far.
Plus you have adjustments for multiple FF settings... but here's one of my criticisms of PC2... you spend time finding a good FF setting for the car your running, and it feels nothing like as nice on the next car you try.
Haven't tried rally cross yet, but I did notice 3 different mk1 Escorts that will be getting a work out in due course.
It also has a number of classic cars such as an Aston DBR1, 600bhp Zakspped Capri, Sierra Cosworth, Escorts, loads of old Porsches.
Content wise, it's on another level compared to GTS.

Cheers for that Chris...I think my biggest problem would be finding the time to play! I stop looking at the wheel, it's to annoying to see the gr2, gr1, and the old 60's / 70's stuff go past, and end up with some crappy n100 / n200 (probably a duplicate at that)Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
