Installed the 1.24 update and can report the Merc F1 car drives much, much better. Still not sure I'd use it in any of the daily, sorry weekly races when they appear.
Yep, they definitely fixed the braking issue

Career mode challenges are disappointingly easy for the F1 category. The AI drives round at half throttle and doesn't seem to understand aero. Shame, but an easy 250K
I only enjoy doing the first race at Le Croix. It's an easy 360K credits if it's a clean race. I try to do three a day as I'm still getting the scensoredt cars after my daily log on. I need all the credits I can get to get the 20M cars.

Just picked this up cheap on psn. Loving it so far. Thought my times were ok until I checked against some of the times on the leader boards...eek

How the heck people can go so much faster, I have no idea!? I'm only using a dual shock if that makes any difference.
Think I'll just stick to getting the gold medals and not embarrassing myself online! laugh

The updates moved some of the track limits. When that line is invisible it makes working things out an exercise of trial and error over many laps. I was doing my daily allowance on the manufacturer's cup on Blue Moon infield. 12 laps, one valid time. It's like La Sarthe, you just have to drive around the middle.

They've also nerfed the aids to make it even more weighted towards wheel and pedals. They'd do well to remember how they actually market and sell the console and do something by way of a DS4 champs/tables.

The latest round of updates cost me around 1 sec a lap around Interlagos relative to my best times. The quickest guys have got further away.

This game is still hilariously rubber bandy.

Did a midships campaign race earlier, the one with the Veyrons at Willow.

Was in a 4c road car on soft tyres.

I think 6 laps? Cant remember laptimes, but I caught the leaders in 4 laps, passed and pulled away.

Then hit the magic 3 second barrier and hey ho, laps 5 and 6, two new lap records set by the guy in 4th adn then the guy in 5th, 4 seconds a lap faster than my best lap.

The game sucks really

I finally got to 20M credits to get one of the cars valued at such but didn't realise that was the max you could get. I thought you could max out at 50M? I'm doing about 6 of the Blue Moon oval races a day within the Professional races of the Campaign section as I can accumulate 2M credit provided I get a clean race. I'm still receiving fcensoredg normal hatchbacks/saloons for a daily car rather than anything interesting but not much I can do about that.

I enjoyed last weeks Daily Race B at Dragon Trail with the Group 4 cars and will give the B race a go tonight at Lago Maggiore with the Group 3 motors. Not sure about the One Make at Tsukuba as getting very bored of that circuit.

The 20m limit got introduced in a previous version I think. The reasoning wasn't clear but agree it's a ballache as you have to spend it immediately or start losing out. Means if another 20m car comes in to the game you have to save again or you have to waste any credits you make at 20m. At least you can spend it. It doesn't seem possible to get rid of the mileage points.

Did a few laps of Maggiore earlier - I need to spend the time learning the new physics as I've lost 1-2 seconds depending on the car.

Playing a game for about half and hour a day is hardly much.

And I am only doing that as I have nothing else to play right now!!

My poinbt being, really, in 2018? You still feel the need to ridiculously rubberband Ai? Why? There is literally no reason for it

For the love of God please... no more Tsukuba! smile Thankfully Gr3 was really good yesterday, I used the Ford which is, as we all know, ridiculously overpowered, it does require some concentration in the corners though, I guess at some point this week I'm going to have to try the Gr1 race.

Have you considered maybe doing something else with your hour and half then?

I think the 20M cars should be 10M so at least you have a chance of buying them.

I qualified 3rd in the GR3 Viper last night but got punted off on the 2nd corner and things just didn't feel right so I ended up quiting. Hopefully I'll have a tad more motivation tonight so may do a few races to increase my DR.

Whenever they do an update I go back to the cars I know best, the RSR usually. I used to do 1:56.5 around Maggiore in that and I'm at 1:57.5 now. In certain places the changes in the game are really clear e.g. the uphill esses can no longer be driven through easily flat.

Watching the replay of the fastest laps shows a real knack to the Ford GT. They brake later than me, accelerate earlier and carry more speed through corners. Basically, I lose time everywhere. I can see my way to a 1:56.6 but I need to put a lot of time in to get that consistent. I'm spinning off, or understeering off, through those esses every other lap.

It's funny you say that as I'm doing the uphill esses much better since the most recent update. Tell you what though, I can't remember what my qualifying time was last night? It may have been 1.57.3 I think. Not used the RSR for a while so may give that a try tonight.

I'm not as fast as you guys but low 58's in the Ford got me a few wins at B/S, there was a couple of fast 911's about but the Ford kills them between the esses and downhill hairpin, since the last update it really feels like a different game, and for me it's much better.

I was wrong as I got in the low 58's in qualifying, not 57 as I stated yesterday. Only ended up doing one race at Maggiore but that was enough for one evening.

Not tried the Ford GT but then I try not to use the OP cars as would rather use cars I feel comfortable with and enjoy being the underdog so to speak.

I gave the Viper a blat and found you could just thrash it everywhere. It has some new found instability through high speed transitions which trigger the traction control now. Other than that it's actually "better" to drive as you can rag it.

I'm struggling with this new high speed loss of grip in all cars.

I think the viper was slightly OP when the game first appeared and then after an update a few months back, it was really slow and horrible to use. Now I feel it's an inbetween car which I feel comfortable driving as I've driven it since October.

It can be a handful when putting the power down at slow-ish speeds in 2nd/3rd gear but as you said, it is good when going around fast, high speed bends.

Uphill eases and the flat left-right after the big downhill I'm getting loads of squirming and TCS flickering. TCS off and I'm getting cars stepping out in 4th and 5th. Doesn't seem to be a function of how I feed the steering in and the fast guys aren't fearhering the throttle. Going to try changing some controller settings but that could be a proper rabbit hole.
