Using zoom its possible to get very accurate positioning and scaling, I've certainly not struggled with it at all.
Layers disappearing, have you been moving layers around?
My latest is a modern take on the obvious classic:
How do you mirror one side to the other? Assume it's possible. Can't be arsed to try and replicate what I'm doing exactly on both sides.Layers disappearing, have you been moving layers around?

Picked this up yesterday and just trying it out.
Am I being dense or is there a knack to the very first school, driving in a straight line to the finish line within the time limit?
I cannot get near the bronze, never mind gold - in the video they are revving it to the limit before the start but the car just bogs down and takes an age to move if I do this?

Just keep it floored, it will bog down a bit but that’s ok. The key is to brake a lot sooner than you think you need to. Use the cones to work out your braking point
There's no instruction to brake, it's the very first one where you just need to launch from a standstill. I am losing the will to live!

That was quite impressive how they sailed past us - just been googling tuning setups, and noticed quite a few references to first setting the final gear ratio, then setting the max speed, then setting the final gear ratio again. No idea if that will help, but gonna give it a try in a bit...
I think Crafty told us about this the other dayThere's a trick there somewhere.

No its a very easy test, but your problem may be your controller is knackered. First of all the lower trigger buttons can break, which stops them being pushed down properly. Alternatively, behind the trigger there is a squishy pad, these can get worn out and don't make contact properly.. which means you don't get full throttle.Am I being dense or is there a knack to the very first school, driving in a straight line to the finish line within the time limit?

Easy way to check is look at the rev counter on screen, right next to it is a bar that shows you how much throttle you are applying - if it doesn't go all the way up its likely your controller is knackered.
You can buy bits to fix them on ebay, look at youtube for a video on stripping it down - its pretty easy to do.

It may be considered cheating but I did all the licences on auto with TC2 gold first time for most. Am I being dense or is there a knack to the very first school, driving in a straight line to the finish line within the time limit?

It takes 4 seconds from the display of "ready" to "go".Am I being dense or is there a knack to the very first school, driving in a straight line to the finish line within the time limit?

Press the accelerator on 4 and you'll be fine

The biggest pain is it is an exact mirror, so any lettering you have placed is flipped and words become reversed ( racing becomes gnicar ) total PIA, sooner we get layer grouping the better (sorry to harp on about it)
I agree, and am sure they will add grouping in the future. For now, with lettering I first place a grid decal where I want the lettering, size it to how big you want the letters then duplicate the grid on the reverse.
Now place each letter, duplicate on reverse then horizontal flip and move into place on the grid.
It doesn't take long if you do it that way.
I'm sure the option to place words rather than letters is something we might see in the future hopefully.

I can't find either the Tag Heuer Aston or the Beetle on the car livery search??
Even just selecting the vehicle only brings up 30 or so and neither of yours are there...
yeh, the search seems a bit wonky for me too ... Even just selecting the vehicle only brings up 30 or so and neither of yours are there...

.... i might be on later, might just watch the start of the F1 first...
How are you guys playing this, controller or wheel? I've been playing it with the controller and it's terrible, no "feeling" of what the cars are doing, it's like a hovercraft simulator.
I love the photography mode but to get any cars to mess about with I have to drive and win, does it get better? if not its going in the bin.
Massively disappointed.
