I put of couple of hours into the campaign as the matchmaking in multiplayer was taking ages. It's not great, there's simply not enough straight-up shooting things for me. I could go on, but quite frankly who cares? The campaign is just a brief distraction from the MP.

I went back to the multiplayer at maybe 9pm this evening and the matchmaking and getting into actual games had improved a lot over the when i was trying at 6-7pm. I thought it played well. The fact that there aren't perks is odd, but i think makes the game better. Killstreaks are hard to get and thus don't dominate the game. The maps were fairly clean and played well. It felt like i was getting insta-melted at times but what else is new? Used to happen in certain MWR lobbies too. Sniping seemed fairly balanced and was enjoyable. Looking forward to playing it some more tomorrow smile

Mmmmm

A few hours of MP last night, quite nice maps however after all these years I can't believe we still have the same problems as every CoD game previously, lag and spawn kills.

A few too many 'camping' corners that cant be accessed unless you traverse the whole map and come in behind the camper.

Loadout screens are terrible, unable to leave a lobby at the moment as 90% of the time your not getting the lobby screen. The whole weapons loadout screen is very complicated and trying to find how to upgrade etc is very confusing.

ETA.....What are we using for the PH clan tag? Just PH or the good old CoD favourite VBRJ ?

I'm torn between PC and Console (XBone) for it?

One the one hand I know that the PC is a port, so could (likely) to have bugs/issues, on the other I much prefer KB and mouse?

I've got a decent gaming rig (1060i etc.) so no worries there and my online circle of friends don't tend to play much anymore anyway.

Anyone got a compelling reason to go one way or the other??
Add me on steam KZ

I’m going the Xbox route for this.

Battlefield one filled that slot for me.

I think it's the best COD for years, stripping away all of the wall running and stupid streaks have brought it back to what made it fun originally. It's definitely set up to get you to buy the DLC as there's not many maps for PvP currently so bare that in mind.

Thanks for that. I've heard Battlefield but wasn't sure which one. I feel a Christmas gift to me coming on biggrin

Played for about 3hrs total.

Deleted.

Utter dross.

Reasons:

- Gameplay hasn’t moved on or offered anything new.
- Tiny maps. Offering very little opportunity to change tact if you’re getting annihilated or struggling to get to the objective.
- Uninspiring objectives... Escort the Tank.... about 20m - hardly a great objective.
- Total ridiculousness of the MGs. No point playing with any other weapons.
- The game constantly refuses to accept inputs post round. Want to leave? Close the whole game.
- uninspiringly dull and poor graphics, they haven’t done anything to up the quality in any way shape or form.
- Free for all in every game mode. It isn’t a team game despite being on allies or axis sides.

Yeah, I agree. It’s classic old school COD. I think it’s great. Multiplayer works really well on the Xbox.

Black ops 2 facelifted as ww2.

It just isn't a patch on battlefield. Played around 4hrs and I'm just bored.
Back to bf1/4 for me.

For me, best COD for a while. It was getting stupid with all of the jetpacks and specialists.
Only downsides so far; compared to battlefield it's not easy to join friends sessions. Inconsistent shotguns when I can kill a person at mid range then shoot someone point blank in the face and get a hitmarker. Other than that really enjoying it!

Starting to get into this a little more. Being able to play Hardcore is nice (no idea how people manage normal core).

Enjoying zombies too. Wasted lots of time on that in the past.

It’s growing on me as I have unlocked stuff but the weapons are so unbalanced. Unless you play quick and aggressive with machine guns it’s difficult to be successful otherwise.

Got my copy yesterday, first COD i've bought since BO2.
I loved MW/MW2/BO's, simple war style shoot 'em ups, with a few perks, good multiplayer modes, fun (which is what its all about).

Bought BO2, all the exo-suits, jumping around, walking up walls & ste maps i got bored of, stopped me playing it.

The lobbies are a bit backwards, but i do find it fun, you can tell the kinda people who hate this game will be the jet pack loving kids!
It's not an easy game by any means!!

I got it on weekend, refunded it without trying. Only got it for the splitscreen and it turned out it doesn't work on PC version. frown

Is anybody on Xbox playing online finding the graphics horrendous?

As soon as I start moving/ADSing/shooting everything goes mushy and really pixelated.

Turned that motion blur off and tried different screens and it still does it... Thought maybe my Elite is on its way out but F7 and other games seem fine. Even playing new zombies online looks alot crisper then MP.

Really really enjoying this, I'm half way through prestige one playing mainly war, for the first time in all the CoDs I've played (since cod 2) this one doesn't seem to annoy me or frustrate me anywhere near the amount the older ones have. The only time it annoys me is when you have a team full of snipers on war sitting back and not playing the objective, other than that I'm looking forward to some double xp weekends and ranked play smile
