Destiny 2 is not a single player game, to base it on Single player content is crazy, the multiplayer with like minded retards who can't jump and try and punch you off cliffs is where the fun is.

I am exclusively on PC with this now, Forsaken is excellent, yes it is where it should have been from the start but it is where it is at now. I have paid probably more as i have it on both PS4 (sans forsaken) and PC, but i have had by far and away my monies worth.

I don't get this dislike for paying for additional content, the original game at £40 is done, you have had that, it was a full game with endless playability online, this is new content and as such can be charged. The price of games has stayed pretty much the same throughout the years, what i don't get is the huge amounts people pay for skins....

Anyway, Forsaken is feeling pretty good initially, since getting my Bow, it is pretty much all i have used, its not my beloved No Land Beyond but it is close enough hehe

I can't drop 30fps and 30 quid for it!

Could do with some more players on PC, the only raids i have done were on PS4!

The original game was half a game.

What you have now is a full game as it would have been released 10 or 15 years ago. Devs know they can release half finished content and you guys will pay full whack for it, then release extra stuff to make it better for more money.

40 quid for the original game might be worth it for some, but not me sorry. GT Sport is the same, the original game was basic, now the content has been dropped into it to make it a full game.

Its a very clever marketing and profit making gimmick that ensures punters will pay more than 40 pounds for their games.

And you guys seem happy to do it.

Totally missed this earlier for some reason, downloaded this last night. This plus God of War 3 remastered, I have to say PS+ have impressed me with their game lineup this month.

I played quite a lot of D1 but got put off by all the bad stuff written about D2 on here and other places but it's free now so I can't complain. I'm sure it will give me at least a few hours of enjoyment.

No it wasn't, it just wasn't a great game. But, I think we get it. You don't do DLC content, you think it is morally corrupt and all those of us who pay for it and then have fun experiencing the content are spoiling it for the rest of you. Well, sorry about that but, it is my money and I shall continue to spend it on the things I enjoy biggrin

Anyway, back on topic I played a new strike this morning. Can't remember what it was called but, it was pretty epic. Set around the Prison of Elders, you had to run along these train lines with huge, speeding trains coming at you from all directions. Eventually, you end up in the final Skolas area in PoE and have to dismantle those damn mines again bangheadhehe - it was actually pretty funny.

You then go as if to collect your rewards in the old Skolas days but, the floor drops away and you fall into another arena where you fight a huge servitor that burns you like the sun. Best strike I've played in ages thumbup

If you use discord there's a really good LFG channel that I tend to use to team up when the clan I'm in is low on active people. I can find the link when I'm home if you don't have it already.

There is so much to do now since the Forsaken expansion I don't even know where to start. I spent the first few days just leveling up to level 50 and then I did the first story mission. Since then poooof the map has just exploded and I am getting mission, bounties and all other stuff from every where.

I have to say from just skimming over whats available then the DLC was worth it.

I agree DLC can be a moot point for some but lets face it, back in the day before DLC the games could be on the small side. (GT and GTA aside). They also wouldn't support the games with updates etc like they do know. When a game comes out developers continue to support the game unlike days of old.

One thing I don't like about the Forsaken update is the Clan exp. I don't seem to be getting any clan exp.

Yeah I have discord, but LFGing usually ends up with weirdos and squeaky people, it was easier to just drag Speckle through a raid and wait 4 hours for Shane to make a jump, and far more fun. hehe

I did the opposite - started the story at around 350 light (hadn't touched the game for 6 months!) and quite enjoyed the struggle hehe

I agree with you - the amount of stuff there is to do now is almost overwhelming, which is a very good thing! They seem to have set things up in such a way that there is pretty much always a powerful engram you can go after! I haven't given much thought yet to levelling up another character yet!

Clan XP is different now. I think you have personal clan XP and, beyond that, you have to complete Hawthorne's bounties to earn it. Annoyingly for me, the majority of clan bounties seem to involve crucible which is something I don't enjoy at all. Seems stupid when Shaxx has a separate set of bounties. I wouldn't mind if there were an equal number of PvE bounties available but, that doesn't seem to be the case.

You are right, the clan XP stuff is a pain with the need to do PvP which i really dont like either. Apart from that, really enjoying the expansion and new stuff to do.

Glad to see people responding positively to Forsaken. I still don't think I'll jump back into D2 just yet, though if the positivity continued beyond a four to five week period and the new Raid is up to scratch then I **may** be tempted back to the fold next month.

What's this 'annual pass' thing all about? All I can see from reviews is that it relates to additional content that Bungie will announce in the forseeable. It seems odd to ask for another £25 for unknown content.

Really enjoying this though. I think D2 is much better than it was.

I bought all the expansions on Friday, didn't get the annual pass. I got instant buyers remorse as everyone on Twitter has been raving about the Spider-Man game all weekend laugh.

I'm playing through Curse of Osiris just now and really enjoying myself. I haven't played since before the expansions started coming out and I forgot how much fun the game is to play. There aren't many games so good at making you feel like you have god like powers one second only to be cursing your own stupidity as you nearly get murdered by a mob of low level enemies the next.

I think I'm hooked in again, I'm interested to see if the endgame is more satisfying now. I like the revamped, kind of back to the old game weapon system. I need to figure out what the the new upgrading system is, but I'm in no rush as the light level of the drops if pretty generous at the moment.

Wasn't that big on the Gambit game mode, I only played enough to do the daily challenge and I got brutalised when I went back into the Crucible but I'm sure I'll figure those out again.

Played this over the weekend a bit and just going through the campaign. I am having fun, as mentioned above the gunplay is slick and satisfying however it does feel a bit barren. There are only 1 or 2 missions available on the map at any one time, just doesn't feel like there is much to do or enough variety at the moment, I don't remember D1 being like this.

It's not bad so far but it's not really convincing me to shell out on the DLC at the moment.

Sorry, not happening just yet!

As I explained to Stimps during the week, I bought Dragon Quest XI during the week and also pre-ordered Shadow of the Tomb Raider (though under the deceit that it's for the Wife's birthday!) so I won't be buying another game this month!

To be honest, the DLC is a game changer. There are 2 new areas to explore, one of which is the biggest Destiny has ever seen (it is genuinely huge with loads of secret areas). The Gambit game mode is tons of fun, there are a huge number of quests and bounties, materials to collect for infusion. An abundance of ways to increase your power level. New strikes on the playist. A new raid drops this Friday - there is just so much to do.

It feels like D1 felt in year 3 once it had evolved into the game we alll loved so much!

We tried the Nightfall a few times over the weekend (and failed miserably!) I like the fact that you get kicked back to orbit like the old days but, when you're around 40 levels beneath your enemies, it is tough as hell!!

But, you can't insult your friends when you're playing tomb raider!
