Picked up dishonoured 2.
Nice one. If you enjoyed the first then you will not be disappointed; it is a worthy sequel.

Actually i sort of bummed out on the first, it was when i found out that the game gave you all these nice toys and then punished you for killing.

A not unreasonable observation. I played it through twice - in Low Chaos and High Chaos and they are almost two different games when played those two ways.

Yeah - problem is I'm not that great at stealth, never have been - it always seems to end up in dead bodies. So I sort of ended up getting frustrated that I couldn't do a low chaos run even if i wanted to, without doing a lot of quick saving.

Talking about stealth if you don't have it and want to learn stealth you can't go wrong with Thief Deadly Shadows, on sale at only £1.39 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/6980/Thief_Deadl...

It's all about using the shadows and timing and that above and might help with other games smile

I picked up a few games in the sale and am starting to work my way through them with little success.

Day of the Tentacle (remastered) - blew through this in no time as I still remembered the solution despite it being decades since I last played it. Didn't take long. frown

SOMA - started off ok, then you find yourself transported to a sci-fi environment avoiding a monster. Kind of lost interest as I wanted an "explore and discover stuff" game not a survival horror game.

ABZU - just can't get on with the UI. Probably need to try again. Maybe use a game controller rather than keyboard & mouse, but I do not own a game controller.

South Park - The Stick of Truth - expected an amusing interactive episode of South Park, got a lame D&D combat game loosely based on South Park. Hated it.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided Season Pass - the two extra DLCs it added were ok.
System Rift was sort of amusing in a Portal / Tron way, but got a bit platformy and lame. A glitch at the end prevented me from finishing it and I had to watch the rest on a playthough video on YouTube. I didn't miss much.
A Criminal Past was quite good though, and may stand up to another playthrough as there are some pretty gamechanging choices early on.

So, all in all, not really a successful round of purchases.

Brink (single and multiplayer game) is now a free to play game. - http://store.steampowered.com/app/22350/BRINK/

Also one really odd thing about Steam, if you select a free to play game or install it, then uninstall it disappears from your library so you might forget about it and there is no way to know. But if you install the android Steam app and look at your library in there it shows everything, including the free to play games you have installed in the past.

Just to update this, I read an article on Kotaku today that SOMA is coming to the XBox One and will have a "safe mode" that allows you to explore & experience the game without the whole "OMG I'm going to die" aspect that put me off it.

And, better still, there is a mod for the PC version that does the same.

So I installed that today and am now playing SOMA again and it is much better. Much more the "explore, discover, and find out what the hell happened here" story that I was hoping for.
