You with a wheel or pad, I altered some settings last nte on the wheel an the ginetta was very good on the g29
G29. Mind sharing your settings. Annoyingly there’s no reset to default option I could find as I changed some stuff, made it worse, couldn’t remember what the original settings where. Formula Ford. Brands Hatch Indy. Can't do a single lap without spinning, can't even get round turn 1 without losing the rear end! I'm using a T150 wheel but haven't googled for any settings yet, just using the standard ones.
Penalties seem ridiculous as well. Did a GT3 race at Monza, started 24th and last, massive pile up at turn one, I hold back then just nip up the inside, 2 wheels over the inside rumble strip, end up P12 and it tells me to drop to P22 or get a penalty! Kept restarting it and trying different things all resulting in a penalty.
Brakes aren't right either. Anything past half pressure and they lock up.
I'll still love it though... it will get better as PC1 did.

Just played online at Silverstone, I was in the BMW 6 Series by car and it was snowing.
The puddles started to form and when you go through them you can actually feel them through the wheel, I was on the wrong tyres so was aquaplaning!
Still fiddling with the wheel settings but the physics are better than PC1.
Why can't it be as good as Assetto Corsa though on the old feedback?

I've put in some hours on this now and I just cannot stand it. So frustrating, it's not a case of can I take a corner well, it's a case of have I got round the corner at all. I loved Project Cars 1, but this seems unfeasibly difficult. I run a little time trial website and in PC1 we have done over 14,000 laps and we had an average of 27% of all laps being invalid. For the first race in PC2 we are running at 72% invalid. Admittedly part of this is an over-zealous Race Director who really needs to go and take a long walk off a short bridge, but also that's it too difficult to keep a car on the track.
My quick summary of it so far:
FFB Some cars are amazing (look for the new cars, they seem to better polished), some good, some not so good, some plain flat...tracks, weather everything else is more than enough to make use of the good cars and keep you fully entertained.
That's out of the box, you can play with the ffb on the fly in session and, there are still per car tweaks that can fix the not so good ones (if you want to drive a particular car), I expect patches will sort the issues over time, but they have one or two fairly pressing issues (multiplayer on PC dies when more than 50 dedicated servers are running, consoles users have absolutely no UDP feed so their companions apps won't work). Nowhere near as bad as the first game at launch though.
That sales pitch about the most fully featured racing game available is bang on...it's not perfect but it's very good.
The patch to fix the multiplayer on PC was worked on late into the night, is being tested over the weekend and will pushed out to Steam on Monday. They've already communicated a workaround through the forums. SMS might be a bit marmite but they fix really bad stuff quickly.
PCars1 was on the whole far worse than this at release and it's solid now...it needs some patching to bring everything up to the standard of the best in game.

I was unfortunate enough to buy PC2 on pre-order for PS4 to use with my G29 and we learned yesterday from WMD that it hasn't been tested on PS4. It hasn't been tested! WTF? How can you release an untested product... for money... and a lot of money for a game too?
Admission from WMD: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?51...
On the official PC2 forum there are nothing but posts about bugs and issues. And a lot of pist off people including myself. Have a read: forum.projectcarsgame.com. Many are unable to play it for different reasons.
My issue is the FFB Tone settings (emphasizing track surface or tyre slip) simply does not work. I get no FFB for loss of traction on braking or accelerating - steering going light - and no FFB for increasing grip with downforce - steering getting heavier. I tried all the settings from 0 - 100 and all the flavours. There's also massive deadspots in the steering and issues with how much steering input you need to navigate a corner. I'm not surprised there are people here moaning about it being unplayable. But it's not you, it's errors with the game.
FFB post - http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?51...
As such it's 100% unplayable for me and I've had to shelve it until patches come out to fix it. E.g. on PC1 the last online championship race I had was in the Indycar at Road America and could do consistent 1:44s laps in what was an easy car to drive on the limit. As a direct test this was the first thing I tried on PC2 and if I can actually complete a lap without spinning or running wide, I can't get a 1:50s. There's no feel for the grip. It's impossible to play.
I would ask those struggling to post on their forums too and put some pressure of the devs. Apparently they do read the posts.
If you have a PC it sounds like you could be safer as this is what WMD/SMS were testing the game on and the only reason all the developer streams a pre-release videos were on PC.
It's be an implementation so bad it verges on a scam. Indeed if the FFB issue are not fixed, I've paid £75 based on PR videos on a different format, for nothing, which IS a scam.

I pre-ordered this for PC "digital deluxe" edition I think it was called.
Unfortunately Steam only refund if you have under 2 hours game play which I don't think is enough time to properly try out a game with this many options so I went for Formula Junior at Long Beach as my first event, one of the default career start points.
I'm playing with a G29 wheel, and in the time I played
1. Every time I used the default control bind for switching the HUD lap timing info from best, most recent etc. my virtual rear view mirror disappeared. Had to pause and go into random menu's to get it back.
2. I couldn't spin the rear wheels of the car, even with a full throttle, clutch dump start in first gear. All assists were turned off.
3. Basic bugs like pit lane speed limiter message coming up when driving past the pit entry on every lap.
In the end I decided to get a refund as I think £60+ is a bit much for what is there at the moment. I might consider buying in a year or so if the game with DLC is available for a bit less money and some of the bugs have been fixed. If I'd bought the cheaper version I think I might have been more likely to keep it.
I really wanted to like this game. I've got the house to myself for a week so it might have been fun to have a good run at it.

Don't have the game yet but on reviewer mentioned the default pedal responses are not linear but can be tweaked. Penalties seem ridiculous as well. There is much to like about the game, but how can the graphics take such a step backwards?
I'm running it on standard PS4. Does it look as good (or better) as the original title on the Pro?
Glad im not the only one. Textures look far worse tht PCars1 on PC with everything cranked up.I'm running it on standard PS4. Does it look as good (or better) as the original title on the Pro?
