Calling what he wears; "Power Armor" is a bit of a joke, any armor I have just get's wiped away pretty quickly, even at 200, I'd be better off if he'd just kept his dressing gown on that he started in, I'm sure that would have gave me a bit more protection than this armor. I agree the having to pick things up with the button is ste, I wish they'd removed it, they kind of did in that you will still pick up things by walking over them, but it's so slow to react, either that or you have to stand on precisely the right place. Nazi's are bullet sponges as well.

Only a few missions in but I'm feeling kinda the same, as much as I prefer a single player game with a good chunk of storyline and I was really impressed by the new order, a few bits seem frustrating for the sake of it so far.
It's been years since I swore at a game this much!
Still only really getting to grips with it, but things like having to manually click on ammo and health pickups just doesn't seem that slick, especially in comparison to doom being the last shooter I played.

Yes it is true. I've played it for a wee bit.
So did I for about 10 minutes.

It's 25 years since that was written, but it's still staggering how things have come on in that time.
It was the very first computer game I ever played. I scoffed at the idea of it to start with, but I was soon hooked and played it for hours and hours.

Looking back, it is so incredibly crude and simplistic, but at the time it was amazing.

Just started playing the latest version Friday evening, looks good, having fun.

Just simple, old fashioned fun. Storyline is good, fights are hectic and the stealth works better than I thought it would. Not the most polished of games, but it is never trying to be.

Don't get the Nazis taking too many bullets to kill? A pair of fully upgraded shotguns or machine pistols with the nailgun attachment go through them like a hot knife through butter - even the bigger guys go down with a decent charged up shot from the Laser (although I know not everyone gets access to it).

There were a couple of bits where it felt like the difficulty went through the roof - the penthouse fight was one, although later there is one that took me a lot more attempts - slightly frustrating to repeatedly get killed just to work out a method that works, but not the end of the world. Think it boils down to you not actually taking much to kill - if you are looking the wrong way and a Nazi (especially the robot blokes) gets a chance to empty a gun in your direction, it is pretty much curtains.

Despite my moaning in previous posts, I found that the second half of the game was actually pretty good.

It’s nothing new, it’s a twist on previous games but it is certainly entertaining and also very challenging in places.

Happy I spent the money - solid, enjoyable entertainment in return. Just doing the after game Enigma tasks when time allows.

Literally on the day of my first anniversary of starting my business ive become super busy (which is great). But game time has dwindled, so ive resorted to playing on easy to finish the story as its great fun.

I always start and the easiest level and stay on it. It must be something to do with my advancing years !

I'm the opposite, always the hardest level and again once the insane level is unlocked.

But, I've had to rethink that strategy on this game, it's hard as nails.

It's not quite grabbing me I must say, will try and put some more time into it over the next couple of nights.

You’re not wrong there! It feels like the enemies don’t “scale” with the unlocks. So regular grunts are rather hard when you start with a pea-shooter, but become much easier as you unlock better weaponry... Other games level up the enemies with the character, but I’m not sure that’s happening here!

What’s the deal with the ’vault’ countdown when you start the game, down to five days now?

I usually play games on the medium setting, but I’ve dropped down a couple of times so far.

I was wondering that myself.

Looks like it's a DLC thing.

Yesterday mine told me I had unlocked Episode Zero.

Constrictor Harness, That is one of the mods you can get when your head is stuck on a new body. It allows you to squeeze into tight places.

I chose the battering ram thing, inadvertently, not realising there were other choices. I’m not sure if you can change once you have selected. Time will tell, I’m still playing...

Which mod do you have? There’s always a way - I’ve finished the game but didn’t have that mod, I picked the battle walker.

Venus is quite long - what’s the task? I got stuck just before the very end... if you’re trying to get the codes and there’s a room with a large sphere of Venus in the middle of it, shoot the sphere. There’s a normal sized tunnel under it which will get you into the room.

It's doing my head in , sorry didn't explain very well, cleared out all levels , went outside ,crossed some pipes and found a circular tower, Google shows either to constrict and go underneath it, or ram the door , neither which I have !

Got it, I think! You need to go over the top - double jump to extend the legs, you should be at the height of the top of it, and you can cross and drop down to the pipes on the other side.
