I've got some very good Bluetooth noise cancelling headphones which can also be plugged into the controller so work great for PUBG.
Trouble is when you use them wired rather than through Bluetooth the microphone doesn't function.
Is there a line in microphone that you can plug headphones into and then plug that into the controller to get around that?
Don't really want to buy another headset bwhen I have some already really good ones!

It's interesting to see how peoples tactics are evolving in the game, it used to be that everyone dropped into the centre of the big towns, now it looks like everyone is trying to parachute as far from the flight path as possible. Still my favourite game at the minute
I've noticed this too. I have my go-to/preferred site that I try and drop to each time even if that means flying as far across the map as I can and then, looting my preferred site and then working my way back.I hadn't played in 10 days but managed to get 2x rounds in. Finished 15th and 20th(ish) but super enjoyable. Died to carelessness and not checking my surroundings enough both times.

Got two 3rd places last night, well chuffed.
First one i was toe to toe with the one bloke i could see and ran out of ammo in both assault rifles and pistol, properly choked, this game is so intense when you're down to the last ten.
Second one lying in prone at the edge of the circle but at the bottom of a hill and got picked off with a sniper, never even saw him.
In both games I only got one kill.
Played probably ten games last night and never once found a vehicle, wtf am I doing wrong, spent a long time running.
Also played solo squads,am i missing the point, why not just play solo?

As a solo player in squads you can be a lot more stealthy than them - it's a lot harder to hide 4 people running across a field than one lone man in a bush picking them off one by one! Also there's the same amount of loot that they have to share but you can take all of if you find somewhere on your ownFirst one i was toe to toe with the one bloke i could see and ran out of ammo in both assault rifles and pistol, properly choked, this game is so intense when you're down to the last ten.

https://pubgmap.io/en-gb/ - for vehicle drops, look at this map, usually along roads. It might be that they had already been taken if you dropped in a popular area far away from the final circle

^^ never even looked at Solo Squads - is it popular ? Might give it a bash.
First game on it last night.Sat back watching two squads fight then went in for the kill when the firefight had finished.Found the first bloke healing or looting, nice easy kill but his team mate(who i thought was dead)nailed me as i was looting him.

Which headset are you using?
I had Astro A50s (the 2nd gen) for a while but couldn't get on with them (sound quality is great but couldn't ever get the settings right and found myself endlessly messing with them, the mic is also terrible on them). I was waiting for Lucid Sounds LS35Xs (out at the end of March) but saw TB 800X Elites on hotukdeals for a decent price so thought I'd give them a go.
Sound quality isn't quite as good as the Astros but it's still very good, has pre-set profiles for different types of games/media and I haven't played around too much with them yet so maybe I'll find something as good. Also, with no visible mic I often put them on the wrong way round.
Reality is that I might still get the LS35Xs in March but will wait for reviews.
Got my first win this weekend!
Started off with crap loot and punching a guy to death in a bathroom. When down to the last 3, I bodged a molotov cocktail throw and hit the rock I was hiding behind, almost killing myself Somehow the other two didn't spot me going up in flames, and I watched them fight it out. The winner of that duel then went prone, the other side of my hiding spot and facing away from me
6 kills in total which was also a new personal best

I really enjoy this game, much prefer playing as a duo or team though.
I managed to get some good loot in a game yesterday - fully kitted out weapons etc.
I didn't see one other player other than a car drive past and never got to shoot any gun once....then died outside the circle with 6 players left.
I need to play more as I struggle with all aspects of shooting.
I can manage with a long range weapon if the other person is stood still, other than that I'm useless

^ nicely done. Feels great getting that first win.
Still waiting(albeit on PC) after 400+ hours!!Have got to last 10 loads of times, top 2 quite a few too but keep losing out to someone I cant see, lack of patience, or extreme lag due to wet string internet. And not forgetting extreme lack of talent
settings help so much.
Get your aim acceleration to either 0 or 10 (10 turns it off, 0 means it doesn't kick in until you've spun round about three times so either work).
I then gradually upped all of the sensitivities and now play at max on everything except vehicle (although I've only used a 15x once so I can't say the 15x scope sensitivity setting is well practised). Certainly though, all of the aim settings up to x8 are now 10 for me.
Works a lot better for me, also free/third person aim when in close. Even on 10, aiming down sights is awful if someone is jumping about a few feet away. It's hard to explain but the controls are still currently mapped to input from a mouse on PC and your aim and direction control is only a fraction of how sensitive something like battlefield or COD is.
I always go full auto too and just feather the trigger for one and two shot bursts in all but the closest situations.
Understanding weapon damage helps too. AKM spreads massively on full auto, SCAR and 416 less so, do less damage but faster fire rate. The M16 actually has the fastest fire rate if you have a good trigger finger.
Understand how that damage works too and the difference in bodyshots, head and limbs.
Here's a spreadsheet that explains the current damage on PC, I think it's mostly relevant still:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13ZI5GQDbCX...
Also, leaning around stuff helps (on the elite controller I've mapped lean to the paddles underneath so I don't have to push in the sticks I'm aiming and moving with to use it).
Also, using LB when aiming down sights does zoom you in a little. Does help with distance and not a lot of people seem to realise it.

How was your heart rate after? Had an overall terrible week last week, a few top tens but nothing great. Hoping for better this week.
Through the roof! I've not had such a high playing games for a long long time, reminds me a bit of Search and Destroy matches in Call of Duty 4. Thanks for the tips, will play about with the settings a bit more.
I've only just found out you can look aroound without moving your body using the RB button so still learning
Had a good 2 man squad game last night with my mate - was in a car and he got knocked down, I jumped out to revive and couldn't figure out where we were being shot from - got him revived and said to jump back in the car and make a quick getaway - I pressed the button to get in and hit accelerate straight away...only I didn't get in and shot my mate in the back instead

Random DUO chicken dinner last night.
landed in the staging island and clock didnt start, slowly people started leaving, got down to around 40 players, then it spiked and went up to 105!!, clock still not started.
numbers started to drop again, got to 16! and the clock started, eventually in the plane with 14.. so me, my buddy and 12 others.
before bail out the number dropped to 4 players, my duo and 2 others!!
we watch 2 people bail out and then we jump.
spend the first 3 or 4 circles looting, mansion, prison, and surrounding areas, following the circle up towards rezhok.
on the way to rezhok we run in to a town where all the doors are open, we start to get nervous we dont want to throw this away... still 4 players remaining.
we check all the windows for each building and find a lone guy hiding in a bathroom, not moving, throw a nade in and BLAMO! 3 remaining.
keep moving in and looting, when i hear a vehcile coming our way, we duck down and keep tabs on THE ONLY OTHER PLAYER (yeah??)!! he gets out and enters the circle, then goes and hides in a building.. he must have driven to a crate as he's wearing a ghillie suit.
My buddy then says.. there he is outside that building, but he must have taken his ghillie suit off and hes wearing a black coat... why would he do that?... i reply saying who cares lets move in and kill him. Still 3 players remaining.
we approach the buildings from a distance and scope in to look around.. its at this point things get weird... theres me, my buddy, the guy in the black coat.... he then enters a building and gets totally destroyed by THE GUY IN THE GHILLIE SUIT!!! WTF... player count says there were 3 players remaining.. but theres me, my buddy, ghillie guy and NOW DEAD black coat guy player count didnt change and still says 3 left. we start to panic as we are worried there might be even more players around and we havent been careful enough to be sure they arent behind us.
we decide to push Ghillie guy and we corner and kill him.... WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!!
weirdest round i ever played!!
