I understand the rationale of everyone being in the same car with the same conditions, but I do feel it gets a bit boring for a whole week when there's nothing to play around with or change.
For me part of the fun is trying the different cars and setups through the week and then using the weekend to smash some laps in with the preferred car. Think of a bit like mid-week F1 testing
Still each to their own and it's good that people have different preferences
Yes, i agree it is much more fun when it is a class or manufacturer to choose from along with some experimentation on engines etc. For me part of the fun is trying the different cars and setups through the week and then using the weekend to smash some laps in with the preferred car. So Cutters has woken up this week
I know I have a 47.748 in me (done a dirty lap of that - wall tap) so I know I have it and a little more time in me. Feel competitive this week...although it's early so I'm sure Cutters has another half second to go!
Will get a a clip later for anyone interested. More fun than watching ghosts.
Always impressed with how quickly Cutters posts a potentially winning time. I can sometimes compete by the end of the week, but it probably takes me many more laps. Yeah, I think that's why it's good rotating who selects, gives a fun variety. For me part of the fun is trying the different cars and setups through the week and then using the weekend to smash some laps in with the preferred car. Think of a bit like mid-week F1 testing

I am enjoying eeking little tenths here and there this week though. Maybe next week someone will find a cracking combo with a weird mix of tunes and modded cars and a discipline they aren't meant for.

Round 8 of 16
Broadway Village Circuit (Race),Audi R8 V10 Plus 2016, S856, no mods, no tuning, any assists
As of 00:30:
Top ten above blue line. 11th to choose next week as shown.
Really struggling with enjoying this week. The car just feels like it's on ice.
Anyway, Renegade FemShep is best Shep:
Can't see anyone catching Cutters', I've never seen that sort of time even with a few rewinds, no idea how he's managed that. Broadway Village Circuit (Race),Audi R8 V10 Plus 2016, S856, no mods, no tuning, any assists

Von, I thought you said his bots were gone for good?
With the sliding, this track really needs you to get on the inside of the corners for the camber and grip. The rear end under acceleration is really sensitive to revs and throttle too. It's lovely and neutral when you get it right. I know I can hit a 47.4xx with a perfect lap, but I'm not even loading up Cutters ghost...that'll be too depressing.
EDIT: I'm really impressed with Steven's time considering ABS is on, there's a hell of a lot of time made up in getting the T1 braking just right.

Haha, thanks. I've seen a 47.6xx that wasn't clean, so there are a few 10ths to be made up, however not sure I'll be back on this one. As I've said before, I've had every Forza game since the first one on the original Xbox and I've always played with ABS on, so it's what I'm used to. EDIT: I'm really impressed with Steven's time considering ABS is on, there's a hell of a lot of time made up in getting the T1 braking just right.
As much as people can make up time under braking without ABS, this will only manifest itself of they are perfect through every corner on that particular lap. Stringing the perfect lap together is very hard, it's easy to drop 5mph through a corner and lose more than the time made up by not using ABS.
As for the R8, it's not bad, but my go to car for 900 is the LFA or the Huracan P.
An interesting comparison would be to look at the amount of credit earned in rivals mode, this would give an indication of how much time people have spent on rivals alone. It's displayed on the loading screen and can be accessed in one of the game menus.

Does 'inside of the corner' mean clattering through the fences? I'm great at that
One method is on some corners to aim the wrong side of the gates, and with a little lift (to rotate) and some understeer it sets you just right, clipping a fence or two in the process. T2 is where taking a line clipping the gate with the right hand mirror is the fastest line I've found. The double right hander and long left also benefit from having two wheels off the tarmac at the apex. Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
