Forza Horizon 4 !
Discussion
If you buy it to just look at cars you will get bored quickly and to be fair that's not the main purpose of the game.
The whole point really is to achieve things by driving the cars\ be it races, speed traps, drift zones etc.
If none of that appeals to you, probably not the game for you.

Haha yeah that's a fair point and of course I've gotten through a lot of the racing/stories the game has to offer, and now got to the point where it doesn't seem to be keeping my interest. Probably just me.
You're not alone, I've grown tired of this quicker than fh3 and that's saying something..shame as based In UK and all that.Total noob to this, but I’d like to make a replica of my race 105e.
I’ve bought one, got the colour almost right, cage and race mods etc, and the handling and general acceleration/top speed is amazingly about right, but I’d like to add rounders and race numbers. How do I do this?
Also, on any car, the steering using the joypad is extremely sensitive - any way of slowing it down a bit?

If you've already painted the car you were nearly there, in Designs and Paints there's the box on the right called Apply Vinyls and Decals. In there you can add shapes and colour them, there are a few different fonts for numbers and letters.I’ve bought one, got the colour almost right, cage and race mods etc, and the handling and general acceleration/top speed is amazingly about right, but I’d like to add rounders and race numbers. You can sort the controller deadzones etc in the settings

If you go back after painting there is a box to apply decals.I’ve bought one, got the colour almost right, cage and race mods etc, and the handling and general acceleration/top speed is amazingly about right, but I’d like to add rounders and race numbers. How do I do this?

As for joypad steering in the settings there are settings for deadzone, sensitivity etc have a play

Also on the painting side,if you need a particular graphic,eg if your car had a Texaco sticker on it,chances are that someone has made it. Search in that section, and download. Just apply in the right spot, you'll probably need to resize it. Saves starting from scratch.
It's amazing what some people can do with a few basic shapes!

Has anybody else noticed the delay between pushing the analogue stick and the steering actually doing something ?
It’s annoyed me to the point of not playing for the last 2 weeks or so.
Can't say I've noticed myself, but it sounds like you're describing 'Input Lag', which is TV issue, rather than an issue with the game or system. Does your TV have a Game Mode? This might help. It’s annoyed me to the point of not playing for the last 2 weeks or so.
I'm still enjoying the game, although likely a good few hours behind more serious gamers.
Depending on mood I like to either work through a series of objectives, eg Drift Zones or a race series.
Or, buy a car I like, add a restrained/realistic tune and then max out the mastery tree drifting/thrashing the map (no airfield points harvesting). Keeps me entertained and rewards feel well earned.
Regarding steering input, I use thumb extenders on my controller (bought for FPS games) and together with tuning the deadzone options have found a nice setup that works for me. Perhaps worth a try for a couple of quid.

Still enjoying this. Most fun from low powered cars with sensible tunes... like an fn2 civic with a supercharger and ~250bhp... or a ‘remapped’ r56 Mini Cooper S.
The hyper cars have their place but it all gets a bit silly doing 200mph plus around the map.
Ditto! I built a cracking Clio RS last night, about 230bhp, chassis mods etc.. The hyper cars have their place but it all gets a bit silly doing 200mph plus around the map.

Are you using simulation steering in the difficulty settings? That will feel very sensitive on a controller. Essentially on simulation you have the whole steering range mapped 1:1 to the controller joystick. It's really intended for use with a wheel. Normal steering is generally the better choice as it essentially varies sensitivity and steering lock range depending on speed.Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
