Always go for the worst car and modify to the level required.

Learn to tune the cars, it's a lot more important than it used to be - plenty of videos on youtube to help with this

Do all the business story lines as these give you CR150k or something close a day which helps a lot when you're starting out (You do have to spend CR100k per business but soon pays back once completed)

Worth spending some time getting all/most of the collectable boards as the fast travel ones make getting around the map a lot faster

Played the Eliminator for a couple of rounds last night - couple of glitches!! Worst was a race with no finish line so both me and the other person got kicked out!

Quite fun though, get a half decent car, win a race, upgrade, win race, upgrade etc etc until you have the best car and can win the whole thing!

Games cycle really fast so that seemed quite good but might be because there were lots of people playing last night

Also, one championship and 6 daily challenges away from 100% complete for the month!

I got a supra in the eliminator, it wasn't great cross country.

Spent some time taking pictures in game this evening, usually delve in every now and again just to take in how pretty this game is, and I'm not even playing in 4k.

Its out. You can buy the new Supra in the Autoshow for 250k. Be aware that there is a 100k credit if you apply skill points to your car.

Be aware also people are selling them for over 250k and if yoy buy a used car with the skill points applied already you cant then do so.

When you complete your first game of Eliminatornyou get given a Supra for free...

I was driving in free roam mode when a car with police lights and markings caught up with me. It sent a quick chat message tell me to slow down or pull over. I wasn't sure if it was part of the game, or another player messing about - I'm not part of any private groups, so it wasn't something pre-arranged.

I spent a few hours grinding on the Eliminator to reach lvl10 to unlock the r26.r, so pleased they added it to the game. Looking forward to the new Alpine too. According to someone that has data mined the game files the 205 gti may be coming, woohoo!

Enjoying the eliminator but keep hitting rocks and getting completely stuck when I'm winning by miles - hopefully I'll get slightly better so that I can finish top ten, been 11th twice now while beached

Finally got 100% for the month so a nice rare achievement knocked off after 14 months

Ive had a 2nd and 3rd and only because i lucky guessed where the final might be and have driven out of the zone before the final starts - you get about 45secs - 1min of the 'get back to the arena' countdown and given when it gets to 12 players and 30 seconds left you get a good headstart.

My 2nd was when i had a Mini and never raced anyone and got about 200yards from being 1st and a bloody Lancia S4 came caning past

Oh and you get the Porsche PO at level 20 or something of Eliminator

On the first go at Eliminator I didn't see one purple flare, ran around the forest and fields around the wind farm and finally got challenged by a faster car, came 17th out of 50 something. Other times since I've found other cars and had closer races, I think I won one and lost one.

You can make the Supra pretty silly .

The way mines is now it’ll break traction on boost into 4th gear and I’ve had it up to 270mph. There’s more in it as it’s still pulling up to the limiter.

They’ve cut down the time you can spend outside the zone from about 1 min to about 5 seconds. I’m serious. You’re stuffed if you’re outside the zone in any way and won’t be able to get back in time.

I would say 3 has the better map, the only thing 4 does better is the seasons.

And ghosting out traffic for PR stunts - might seem like a small change but saves so much frustration.

Something slightly more helpful....

Its good for the casual gamer to just pickup and go for a few races or just blat round the English countryside in something mad (I'd recommend building up a decent 4x4 for the winter season though!)

You can make it as easy or as challenging as you like, it won't please hardcore sim racers but is a great casual racer
