I don't have the Hoonigan Fiesta mad

Guess it'll be frowned upon to upgrade the RX43 to have the same handing stats?
RX43 is stock, fiesta is upgraded to match the PI of the RX43.

Can't touch the Hoonigan.

Think the only fair thing to do this week is to null and void it. It's been an absolute mess. banghead

The RS has the legs on the RX43 but it’s on gravel tyres so it doesn’t corner as well, I won’t get any more time this week as I’ve agreed to help the Mrs in her pub serving food and washing up.

I don't think I will be investing much more time in this weeks challenge, I had a quick go during my lunch break today and I'm sorry but even with rewinds etc that RX43 just cannot compete with the Hoonigan car, if the Hoonigan car has stock handling of 8.2 (vs 7.9 for the RX43) then what is it when its been modified up to 885? This track is very grip dependant, I lose so much time on the final last right hander.

Appreciate it is for fun and the points are worthless but I do like to be competitive., at this rate I'll be lucky to stay in the top 10.
I have to be honest I never look at any of the stats so I’ve got no idea, just jumped in and went straight to the event.
I think in future the only thing we can do is try and ensure we can all access the cars that aren’t locked away or previous prizes that are no longer attainable.

Apologies, I'm just grumpy as it's really frustrating pounding around that awful track for 25 Laps in a car that just cannot hang on to the other around the corners.

Tuning might help as the aero, brakes and tyre pressures might help the RX but the same could be said for the Hoonigan of course, and in any event i'm aware no tuning is allowed and I respect the rules!

I did wonder about taking the M sport fiesta to see what it is like at 885 but it's not on the list of allowed fiestas.

I'm not going to push to take second as otherwise that'll put jimmsy back in the hot seat for choosing.

I thought we were allowed any rally Fiesta that’s why I’ve stuck with the M-Sport laugh

Lol, it doesn't appear in bold in Vons header text so I'm assuming it's not allowed.

As Von was posting I was looking at the Fiestas I've got.

Ford Rahal Letterman 2017 S880 600bhp

Hoonigan Gymkhana 8 RX43 S885 600bhp (Steve's on the leaderboard)
https://forza.fandom.com/wiki/Hoonigan_Gymkhana_8_...

Ford M Sport RS 2017 S819 375bhp

Hoonigan Gymkhana 10 2017 S828 375bhp (the original car)
https://forza.fandom.com/wiki/Hoonigan_Gymkhana_10...

It's still day 1 and as this has got messy, just for this week, can we have choice of the 4 Fiestas if the Gymkhana 10 2017 is lower PI but easier to drive. ? They're all apparently in the same ball park of 1:36 to 1:38 clean laps so far (no M Sport on the leaderboard yet but if it is rubbish, ignore it).

I did link to the 4 of them... just saying hehe

So is the M Sport any good?

Lol,

I haven't tried the M sport yet, might see tomorrow but I'm pretty sure it's not on the allowable car list even if it turns out to be decent.

When the M-Sport is the correct PI it’s quick I could keep up with the ghost I was chasing but through the corners it wasn’t quite as stable, I think with a better gamer than me it would be a contender.

Final times at 23:59 tonight as usual, sorry not been on it much last few days.

Still, on the bright side my character import into Mass Effect 2 worked out alright:

Thanks for the reminder Von.

I think I'm done to be honest, I put in a few hours this morning and I don't think I can get the RX43 any quicker (at least I not with a clean lap).

For those that are stuck with the RX43, not sure if it's allowed or not but I did the engine swap as it allows the wider tyres and better brakes to be fitted whilst still staying within 885, it helped me shave a few tenths off. Still maintain though that it's a bit if a handicap car this week; top 10 is dominated by the hoonigan.

Round 7 of 16
Horizon Festival Circuit (Race), Ford Rahal Letterman 2017 S880 OR Hoonigan Gymkhana 10 2017 - S828 OR Hoonigan Gymkhana 8 RX43 - S885, no mods, no tuning, any assists
FINAL STANDINGS:

Top ten above blue line. 3rd to choose next week as shown and OH MY GOD EVERYONE I'M SO SORRY IT'S HIM AGAIN.

Congratulations to Cutters for winning this week - first win of the season!

Also: Stewards enquiry, does SPEED12 keep his place given he broke the no mods rules... or do we make an exception due to the piss poor car choice this week?

Updated table to follow based on the above...

Haha, it's you that put me third too!

This week:

No tuning (again, yes, sorry to those that are good at it). No Mods. All assists allowed. PH Smiley Mandatory(?)

Audi R8 V10 Plus 2016 S1 856 (Available in the auto show - I checked this time)

Broadway Village Circuit (just one time on the board that's slower than what everyone will do in the R8)

11th to choose next week
