Forza Horizon 4 !
Discussion
Apart from everyone trying to fix what was obviously an inspired choice of car , I liked it being so close at the top this week, felt like more patience and any one of the top 5 could knock the lap together and jump up.
Good job cutters, you set that lap quite early on, absolutely spot on around the first and second corners.
My vote is for Speed12's lap to count, I don't think there was an advantage to be found for anyone not running the Hoonigan car.

Congratulations to cutters, a very quick time, but to be fair it was extremely close in the top 3-4, excellent standard of driving. Actually having competed against a number of ghosts in the top ten this week the general level has been excellent.
I was hoping it would be mid season before Cutters found his bots and started taking my points lead away! This week has taken a huge slice out of my buffer
Thanks Von, Happy to face/submit to the stewards enquiry (no idea who the stewards are, or who has the deciding votes).
If I'm honest I was unsure if the 'no mods' thing was still applicable as on Wednesday and Thursday updates there was no 'No mods' just no tuning in the bold text. But i realise the earlier/original bolt text did say no mods.
Looking at the stats, i don't think the modified RX43 was any different/better than the Rahul letterman version where mods were permitted as it too can be fitted with the same engine, tyres and brakes for 885PI.
Overall it still only resulted in handling PI of 8.0 (up from 7.9) and I still believe those of us stuck with the RX43 were at a slight disadvantage throughout the week.

Thanks Jimmsy, haven’t actually been on rivals since Wednesday so quite surprised to see I held on to top spot. I generally don’t get time in the evenings or on weekends so get my work in early when I’m *cough* “wfh” Cutters said:

Your time was definitely beatable, I came close last night when I fnally got on it last night. Sadly I've spent too much time not being dead:Edited by vonuber on Monday 2nd November 00:46

I'm predicting a high 47 to be the winner this week. I know I can get sub-48.5 easily. My ultimate lap might be a low 48 based on the few I've done so far.
Edit: Revising this, mid/low 47s to win it as I know I can get below the 48.0 mark. Just need to link everything together to do it.

Only managed 4 laps, I found it really offputting having no ghost to chase. For some reason none of them would load, anyone had this before?
Quite frequently for me, but I put that down to my Xbox which either crashes or decides to remove me from the PSTN club in terms of rivals. I put in a few sighting laps but realized I was in the older slower V10+ I was worried as I was struggling to break the 50 second barrier and Jimmsy was saying high 47's!

I'm actually working when WFH at the moment, what are both your times like? I put in a few sighting laps but realized I was in the older slower V10+ I was worried as I was struggling to break the 50 second barrier and Jimmsy was saying high 47's!

Haven't logged a time in the right car, I was at 50 in the older R8 but didn't save the times.
48.4 after my initial attempt. Sub 48 is definitely possible but it's harder than i thought you get clean laps, so easy to drift out wide and clip a wall, also that road sign on the first left hander can really throw the car out if caught at a certain angleSpeed1283 said:

Exactly this. I've done a 48.1 with a single rewind (missed gate rather than hitting anything annoyingly). I've had several laps where I've been miles ahead out the first three corners, then by the slowest corner the ghost catches me up, so I know there's a fair amount of time in my lap.
So Cutters has woken up this week
I know I have a 47.748 in me (done a dirty lap of that - wall tap) so I know I have it and a little more time in me. Feel competitive this week...although it's early so I'm sure Cutters has another half second to go!
Will get a a clip later for anyone interested. More fun than watching ghosts.

I'm shocked that the two weeks you have been feeling competitive are also the two weeks you have chosen the car and track
It's because there's no tuning, I'm absolute crap at tuning. But I chose this car because it doesn't tend to anger me (or my friends) when putting tonnes of laps in, and also I think it's the best sounding in the game, so if you have to listen to it all week, at least it's a nice sounding one.
EDIT: I would also say last week was really close between people (in the same car) which I think it like running a spec series. In the tuning weeks there's normally quite a gap between people. I do enjoy some of the crazy mod and tuning weeks like old Ferraris off road.
I understand the rationale of everyone being in the same car with the same conditions, but I do feel it gets a bit boring for a whole week when there's nothing to play around with or change.
For me part of the fun is trying the different cars and setups through the week and then using the weekend to smash some laps in with the preferred car. Think of a bit like mid-week F1 testing
Still each to their own and it's good that people have different preferences
