Forza Horizon 4 !
Discussion
I only really buy a handful of new full-price games each year to be honest, everything else I either buy indie games, or wait until stuff comes on sale after a year or 2. But I don't necessarily mind paying full whack for a game like this given the amount of hours I put into them, probably works out as better value than the stuff you get on Steam Sale for £20 and only play for a couple of hours lol

They've been running a series of streams showing off the game. Some excellent new features coming, and lots of footage of the developer build.
The streams can be found on YouTube under "Seasons Change Everything". It starts with Summer, and they've been weekly for about an hour at a time, only Spring left to go.
Caught up on these tonight. The seasons are set to week by week, but they did say that you can set up a blueprint race to whatever season you want. I'd like to know whether the showcase events are a fixed weather or seasonal, I think they're more likely to be fixed weather. The streams can be found on YouTube under "Seasons Change Everything". I'm hoping the seasons are in much more detail in all aspects of the game. I.e late spring having pollen in the air, more leaves on roads in autumn, severe grit in winter and pedestrians to be dressed appropriately, to fully immerse the player in the weather conditions
We've seen deers (is that the plural?) in the trailer, so would be nice to see more wildlife and seeing it vary depending on the season (i.e no polar bears with factor 50 slapped on!)

In the summer season stream, they talk about the sheep, their wool gets shorn through different times of the year so depending which season it is, they'll have different amounts of wool on them. We've seen deers (is that the plural?) in the trailer, so would be nice to see more wildlife and seeing it vary depending on the season (i.e no polar bears with factor 50 slapped on!)

That’s lovely they can do that but not get the UK license plates to look right! Would save me loads of time in the paint editor... https://www.polygon.com/e3/2018/6/11/17449912/forz...

Watched this lastnight. Edinburgh looked good, it's 10 years or so since I've been there, and I've only ever been there for the Fringe. Any Scots who can say how accurate it is to the city roads? It probably will be compressed and simplified but I did recognise a few bits.I've never been to Edinburgh but it looks like a decent in-game city, good size and not totally flat like the last game. One of my gripes is the lack of traffic density, you don't want total gridlock but it'd be nice to have some build up of NPC cars to weave through, but anyway..
The multiplayer looked pretty fun, I've never really played it before but it looks like a laugh, the 'zombie' mode should a laugh with mates.
Anyone on here up for some multiplayer when it's out? Get a lobby together and do some of those multi-event things..

Wonder if they have done a version the magic roundabout, pretty iconic uk road feature and a laugh for group drifting or an autotest
I've been asking myself this for WEEKS! Until yesterday, on Twitter there's some footage of an 'autotest' area with about 10 roundabouts dotted all over it. Looks to be a slight nod to the Magic Roundabout in Swindon smithyithy said:

I think they may have 'turned it down a little' just for showcase/demo purposes, at least I hope so! City traffic should be a thing in-game, but as you say, not full on congestion I think some things were definitely turned down a little just to keep it running smoothly. There was noticeable 'pop-in' at some moments when they were blasting across open terrain with lots of tall grass / shrubbery in the distance.
Did they say they were using Xbox or Windows for the demo? I know it was a PC recording and streaming as you saw the desktop when the game crashed, but I wonder what the actual demo was being played on..
