I really enjoyed this week, I was a late starter on the MX5, which probably helped as it meant that the week was experimenting with various other cars; It was not until Friday night that I set my first time in an MX5. I benefited as often from the fact that others did not really put much time in over the weekend.
I didn't try any others tunes, but in the end the fastest one for me was around 310bhp, around 1000kg, with standard suspension, which allowed me to spec slightly wider front tyres which in combination with diff set ups and ARB softening of the front dialed out most of the understeer.
There's probably another 2-3 tenths possible as I hit a telegraph pole just after the sharp right hander that leads to the long slog before he final downhill section but I didn't bother trying to beat my time once set.
Right, I've trawled back a squillion pages and have scribbled down each track used.
There are 5 unused road events.
9 dirt.
Lots of cross country.
So we'll have a dirt event, I'm pretty sure I didnt see it having been used so:
Lakehurst Woodland Scramble.
A730.
Rare Classics.
Any mods, any assists, any controller set up, do what you like!
Second to last gets to choose next weeks.
I've never chosen before so hopefully this is ok and there's no one already on the board I haven't had chance to get on the actual xbox.
Good luck

Another great week of racing ! shame I only managed about 45min on the game, Congratulations to SPEED12 I have no idea how you can drive that fast. I used Cutters tune and thought it was great so good on exits. That tight right at the bottom of the hill kept catching me out I either braked far too early or far too late.

Well done Speed, great time mate. Enjoyed that one, good car'n'track combo
Thanks Cutters, I think I benefited from yourself, CT and sp4ce from putting in the leg work confirming that the MX5 was the one to have, I was wedded to the RX7 for a good few days! In regard to this week's new challenge, as much as I like rare classics my only thought was that due to the cost of some/most of those cars I foresee a scenario where some people don't have that many? Or don't have access to the best? I include myself, though I think I have a few, but would need to check later.

Looking at it, the auction house is where to go, its flooded with most of them for under 200k.
I purposely did it at 730 so you couldn't really upgrade the cobra or lightweight e type.
The super expensive cars I dont think would be much good anyway.

I tried the Cobra for gits and shiggles, wider standard tyres and suspension stuff to try and calm it down, hoping for some grip. Nope, no good at all It's a tough one, you don't need great tyres for the tarmac but you really suffer on the mud with standard tyres!

This week is definitely going to be frustrating! The Alfa GTA I’ve created handles like what I imagine a cloud would handle like
If anyone’s struggling with the prices of cars this week just put a car up for a million or so and let me know what car and I’ll buy it from you

Very generous on the car front.. It's not as bad as I first feared, I think I was mixing it up with classic racers!

Its a decent little selection, some of the bumps and jumps can throw you around!
It's quite surprising how much you can gain/lose speed against your own ghost just by the timing/line choice/luck of the dirt jumps alone.Edit: Forgot to say, props to Speed12 for demolishing everyone in the last race and thank you to everyone who clicked like on the shared tunes, credits and xp came rolling in because there were so many.
