48-minute gameplay reveal that was just broadcast on twitch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjF9GgrY9c0
From 42:15 it starts looking exactly like Watchdogs in its overcomplicated hacking ste that I hated, hope i'm wrong as other than that it looks to have a lot of potential!

Hacking is a major part of the Cyberpunk world in general, but I think you can probably build your character and play to a different style and skill if you want to.

The class system of the pen & paper game is kinda based around this choice.

I had reservations that it would feel a little too similar to Watch Dogs which honestly I found boring, but knowing this is by CDPR and how their games play and feel (Witcher 3 for example), I have faith that this will be good

Honestly this is the only game I have seen in the past 4+ years that has properly piqued my interest.

If the game turns out like the demo then I will be very pleased. However .... lets face it, it wont. Like a lot of titles these days the reveal is always prettier, more fluid, more impressive than the real game.

It does to me. I just can't get on with third person and much prefer the immersion of first person. Just a personal preference thing.

Sounds like a winner to me.

Yeah that's one of the main points, it's primarily a story-driven RPG with FPS / action elements.. and obviously they can only show so much of the story at this stage. If it's anything like The Witcher though it should be immense - the plot, choices, consequences, characters, relationships, dialogue.. CDPR know what they're doing smile

How?! laugh

CDPR have a proven track record, made one of the most acclaimed RPGs of all time, have millions in funding and an enormous, experienced team.

NMS was 12 devs in a trading estate with a bullst artist doing PR for them laugh

High hopes for this as a fan of The Witcher and Deus Ex worlds (and most of the games set therein) I hope they have a very good writer.

The Witcher games reflect the (excellent and recommended) books with interesting characters and plot.

"Cyberpunk 2077 Will Be Out Before 2021, CD Projekt Reassures It Won't Be Epic Store Exclusive" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwTuEx0sQTM

Also talk of another AAA RPG being released as well. I think this could be a new Witcher game, the author has recently been demanding more money from CDPR - https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-10-02-witc... could this be why, he has got wind of a 4th game being developed? See my post above from Thursday 14th June 2018, regarding another RPG. Spooky.

2021 is after June 2019 = that grant\funding will have to be paid back (if the previous article was accurate).

Not very optimistic for this title coming out. frown

Not quite sure how they've got away with such a delay without being slated in the press/community.

Because they are not releasing an unfinished buggy game with endless microtransactions or loot boxes on a platform that harvests data for the Chinese government.

From the start they've said 'released when it's ready' which is exactly how it should be. I'm happy to wait as long as it takes for their perfect version of the game, their track record so far is excellent, so I have faith and patience in them delivering the product

One other thing, how can it be delayed when they haven't given a release date.

Is it a delay? Cant remember there being a previous release date? I always thought their attitude was "its done when its done".

Anyway these type of games take 6-8 years to make. The first trailer was back in 2013. If its released in 2020 then that would be 7 years...so about right.

Whilst waiting for Cyberpunk I have stumbled across >Observer_ a game I'd never heard of.

Imagine being Decker in a fked up horror verison of Bladerunner, but played by Rutger Hauer instead then add a touch of the Matrix.
