No it bloody wasn't also it's time had passed Duke nukem was a relic by then
He didn't have time to kick ass and chew bubble gum
He was out of time not gum
Sorry I was messing. I get what you mean although I don't think that will be an issue for cyberpunk personally. I'd Rockstar had brought out GTA 6 then maybe but well that's not going to happen as they are going to rinse the next gen with GTA 5 also. He didn't have time to kick ass and chew bubble gum

People asking for it to come out when it's ready
I take it you never had the joy of Duke nukem forever (never) announced 1997 released 2011 and it was terrible
This is starting to become my worry. Overly hyped, blown the budget on Keanu, forever delayed. I take it you never had the joy of Duke nukem forever (never) announced 1997 released 2011 and it was terrible
I have some faith in the studio, but it's in the back of my mind.

What are the odds on this becoming a Q1/2021 release? I reckon it's about even at the moment
Id go with low reading the transcript above. All the investors are pushing for it in 2020 because revenue on balance sheets and company reports are more important to them then a polished game.Don't want to miss out on that Christmas income, plus one of their targets at the start of this trading year was to release a successful CP77. If they dont hit that, investor trust wavers more.
If the consoles still aren't ready on Dec 10th, I expect PC/Stadia to release and consoles in the new year.

However it is less of an issue for CDPR, despite being public a large number of shares are in the names of the original owners.
Also CDPR trade on their reputation, given they release so few games and are quite aware that a high profile failure C77 will damage them more than delaying it.
Personally I agree with the delay. I'd rather a good game late than a crap game on time. So many decent games were burried because they were released with game breaking bugs. Despite being fixed later, they almost never gain popularity.
Checks username... I think a Q1 2021 release is optimistic.

I'm worried it will be released but still be a buggy mess
A slightly cynical view of mine with the news that its next gen but not current gen ready. They are offering a free upgrade from current to Next Gen, with its original release date I would have done exactly that
If it were to get released on NG/PC first and then current gen later, they'd get a lot more next gen sales at £70 vs current gen at £50, thats a lot of cash when you get to decent numbers

That extra £20 doesn't go to the developers or publisher's, that goes to Sony/Microsoft as a license fee.
That's why PC is so profitable. There are no fees to pay to the license holder even though it sells for £5-10 less.
Oh ok, I totally didn't know that That's why PC is so profitable. There are no fees to pay to the license holder even though it sells for £5-10 less.
I have been de-cyniced by possibly the most appropriate poster
I was gonna wait a few weeks until after release until I bought this anyway, see the reviews and watch some more game play then maybe go for it.
In theory it should be the perfect game for me but I cant help but think it might be a bit of a flop or just not my thing. It looks like one it's going to be visually stunning and technically brilliant but at the same time maybe a bit boring and repetitive. I'm worried it's going to be a bit like a futuristic sci-fi film that I don't quite understand but instead of watching it I'm playing it through.

I've been a "last year's" gamer for some time now. The last game I bought on release day was Fallout 4. It's cheaper and you get to avoid disappointment.
However C77 might be one of those games I'll shell out full price for (even pay a few £ more to get it on GoG), but I'm reserving judgement for release.
Indeed - as much as I understand the enthusiasm for the game, waiting at least for the first few patches would seem to be a good idea (and for any game, not just this one).
I suspect I’ll buy it at some point in the first half of next year, along with a PS5, when I can easily lay my hands on both.

I've just splashed out for the game on release (now 10th Dec?)
As mentioned previously I normally wait a bit for a game to release, bit cheaper and updated.
Fingers crossed!
Do you have a slow internet connection ? If not and i've said this before why pre-purchase ? I makes no sense to me at all !As mentioned previously I normally wait a bit for a game to release, bit cheaper and updated.
