Its just a knack with the boar, you need health regen ability and you have to do a LOT of rolling to avoid the attack, just wait till it attacks roll/dodge then hit it a couple of times with a fast weapon like the sword or dagger. Repeat. Its long winded but its the easiest way. In any case its not a core part of the story just carry on with the rest of the game and come back, there are 6 other creatures you need to kill after that one so there is no rush!

I used a heavy blade, and took advantage of the health regen skill. The length seemed to make a difference in limiting how many hits I took

That boar is a pisstake, I've came back 12 levels higher than teh first time but still not enough, the closest I've got so far is when a mercenary followed me there and I kept running at him to get the boar to attack him instead of me, still wasn't enough, the boar seen him off, then came back to me all the while summoning up the other smaller boars.
Use paralysing arrows on the little boars. They then don’t count as dead so don’t respond. Tough fight!

Just wanted to point out that although the merchant gives you a bit of flavour about the horses all you're really doing is picking which colour you want as there's no other difference between them.

Finished the Cult and Family quests, sat at level 62 - not sure what to do next. Wondering if I should switch to RDR2 or to invest in the DLC.

DLC is about two hours of gameplay if that. Interesting, but not long!

Yes read some reviews and basically it is 1 of 3 DLCs, given they are £20 a go seems like a lot of money. I would be grossly disappointed with a couple of hours of gameplay which is more of the same. Its based on the makadonia area I think which is pretty small.

Looks like I will be heading over to Amazon for a Red Dead purchase!

It’s probably not even 2 hours, I’d be pretty pissed off if I’d paid £20 for it!

Yes it seems like a lot of money I would be disappointed if I smashed through it in one evvening. I have actually decided to download Warface instead for free and play that occasionally until the new year, wont have much time over the holiday to sit and play anything anyway.

I'm about 50 hrs in and still loving it. I've not hit any of this so called grind that people have spoken of, as I'm just mainly wandering around doing stuff.

And Kassandra is ace.

That farting boar made me rage-quit multiple times. Only way i could beat it was to get a mercenary to chase after me and lure him into the boar. Was a piece of cake after he softened him up a bit.

It took me as long to get to level 60 from 50 as it did to get from 20 to 50 it is a chore as the quests thin out and you end up doing a lot of smaller quests which involve just going somewhere and fetching something...pretty dull. I do switch it on still and just go in and just blast through a fort or two I have though found my best armour combo and weapons so literally just upgrading those each time I level and not finding anything new to equip.

And yes that poison boar, took me about 5 goes to take it down. In the end I just had to be very patient, wait for the charge and evade then two hits and repeat. When the farts come just run away VERY fast lol
