Finally hit 30 and liking the gameplay so far. I like how the gear system switches to gear score.
However noticed it's now pretty hard to solo play. I don't see any Main Missions available.
Is end game all about team play only?

Have you fixed this? I think I also have similar issues. It's always so stuttering during fight scenes.
Nope but I use the resolution scaler with seems to help reduce the stutering. Also switched to DX12 and lowered volumetric fog and I get about 5400 score and 60fps average which I'm happy about.

No you can solo play.

What should be happening now is that main missions are available again but they are invaded by black tusk.you have to do them all again to reach WT5 (World Tier 5), which will require you to do tidal basin.

From that point all you can do is just re-play everything.

Yes, I've discovered the main missions smile
Weird thing about DPS though when I play grouped main mission or stronghold. I find my DPS always the lowest in the group. The gap is not too wide in a 2 man group but if full group it widens.

I know I need to L2P however any tips to improve this? I'm currently sharp shooter specced using a 330 GS Rifle.

I suspect that as the enemy difficulty scales up in larger groups, your build which does okay in a 2 man squad, is becoming less effective than the other members in your squad. Its impossible to say why without seeing actually seeing your build.

If I were at the same point in the game as you, I would just focus on getting to World Tier 5. Anything you get in your current world tier will become obsolete in the next world tier so don't get attached to your current gear as you'll be trashing it very soon. Obviously, keep anything with good talents but, don't worry about hoarding gear too much. Just get yourself to WT5 and then start looking more closely at your build & DPS.

ETA - in the short term, you can make sure you have a brand set piece which buffs the guns you use and make sure you have a damage roll for that weapon on your gloves. Try to get your damage to elites up to at least 60% and you should have something you can work with to level up.

That's very good advice thanks!
I totally get the point about not worrying about gear for now as I find myself not making full use of the loadouts. I constantly swap them.

This is link to my current build : https://tracker.gg/division-2/profile/uplay/Lonewo...

I enjoy PvE gameplay with LMG and rifle and would like to gear up for that.

I don't have much time to play due to work so please don't laugh at my gear smile I know the stats doesn't look too good as well I'm bottom % in most stats! frown

edit: just realised the link doesn't really show my gear, oh well.

I was about to say, that doesn't show your gear. Never mind.

Rifle builds can be strong, LMGs are great! Best LMG talent is 'unhinged' in my opinion, and if you can get it with optimised handling then you largely mitigate the lost handling from the talent.

Ranger is pretty good on a rifle but, I'm sure there are others (I use an AR/LMG build so, don't know the best rifle talents). I hear that the MK17 is the best rifle currently.

Depending on how you play, unstoppable force is a strong talent until you reach heroic/raid difficulty. Beserker (my own preference) is also strong but, only if you're happy to keep your armour low sometimes for the extra damage - a bit of a balancing act!

You want the highest Damage to elites roll you can find on your mask. 35% + is a good roll. Hard hitting on at least 3 pieces or 2 pieces + 1 x badger tuff armour piece and that is your 60%. You'll also want 1x petrov (LMG damage) and 1 x Araldi (rifle damage) ideally but, honestly I wouldn't dwell on all this until you reach the endgame.

Haven't tried it yet (as I'm way too cheap to buy the year 1 pass hehe) but, looking forward to having a crack at it tonight. I ended up getting a bit bored with it all a month or so ago but, since TU5, my skill build has all of a sudden become insanely strong, which has been a lot of fun.

Finally hit WT5 and 500GS. Just farming for set gears now.

The raid match making is weird in PC, it just puts you in a very long queue and need to quit the game to reset.

I would aim for a decent high end set rather than going for the gear sets. True Patriot was kind of fun (and useful in a group) but, quite niche and losing all the gear talents and sacrificing damage output is too big a price to pay.

All the other gear sets are generally considered trash - I auto dismantle any greens that drop now, which is insanely backwards and a huge misjudgment by the developers imo. Bring back Div1 gearsets or, better yet, give us new & equally powerful gearsets that actually feel like they're worth chasing (yes, 6 piece classified striker/nomad/tactician/Lone Star/Reclaimer, I'm looking at you!)

Anyways - welcome to WT5 biggrin

Thanks! I used to play loads of WoW so a bit familiar with gear sets and the relevant mechanics which is one of the reason why I enjoy Division 2 as it combines both my fav genre (first/3rd person shooter and mmo)

I'm new to Division 2 though and never played Div 1 so always still learning. I always thought the green gear sets are worth chasing due to the set bonus.

Any tips of what I should be aiming to do? I mainly play solo and have been doing bounties and dailies mainly to level up my 2nd specialisation (Survivalist).

You're right, the gearsets should be better than anything else but I don't think they were very well designed and don't make you feel particularly powerful. One caveat is to always check the attribute stats before trashing them as they tend to have decent values which can be recalibrated onto something else.

As for what you should do, you're now at a point where you can create meaningful builds and save them so I would start there. You have lots of options depending on your playstyle/favourite weapons etc. Until the most recent update, DPS builds were king and what most people have been running. So, auto rifles or LMGs with beserk or unstoppable force or on the ropes (slightly trickier to put an on the ropes build together and a bit fiddly to use imo).

Now though, skill builds have had a huge buff to bring them in line with the DPS brigade so, if you enjoy using seekers, turrets, firefly, offensive chem launcher, pulse etc - you're going to have fun!

For example, I already had an explosive seeker build with very high skill haste, lots of explosive damage and high skill power. It was already about as good as it could be for what it was, but the update has turbocharged it quite a bit. I did the two new missions yesterday evening on challenging difficulty with a couple of friends of mine. Both of them have decent DPS builds and I was running my skill build. I had the most kills by a factor of 4:1, most explosive damage, most skill damage, most damage overall etc. etc. etc.

Usually, if something is a lot of fun to use, it ends up getting nerfed so, enjoy it while you can hehe

I do find Division 2 enjoyable smile Spend hours sometimes just tweaking my gear.

What would be the best way to farm gear? Just do dailies?

Yup - it is very much an inventory management simulator! I'm at a point now where I rarely pick up the gear that drops as I simply don't have the space for it. If it isn't an upgrade for the build I'm using at that moment, it gets left, trashed or shared with the group.

To be honest, gear will rain down on you from just about anywhere! Dailies are always a good idea as they will award you with good XP, which in turn will get you field proficiency caches - these will always give you GS500 items. But, everything you do will give you XP. Level 3 & 4 control points are a good idea as they will reward you with blueprints so that you can craft weapon attachments etc. that cannot be found elsewhere (such as the 5.56 sturdy mag). Some projects will also yield blueprints.

What platform are you on? I would encourage you to join a clan or find some people you enjoy playing with. This game really shines when you're in a group. If not for the reprobates I play with, I probably would have moved onto something else by now. Interestingly, these guys are not from the group I usually play with (From vanilla Destiny days) but, were a couple of randoms I befriended through answering a call for help a while back. If you're on PS4, you'd be welcome to join us.

Before that I would regularly join random groups by matchmaking for bounties. You never knew what you were going to get - maybe a normal difficulty bounty that is only 5 seconds from completion as you join a full squad or, if you're lucky, a heroic difficulty bounty with just a two or three of you. Very easy to enjoy group play for short periods with no obligation to stay with a group for more than 5 mins.

I play on the PC smile

I was thinking of joining a clan but to be honest due to work I can't really commit to a clan. I used to be in a guild once in WoW and used to take up lots of free time.

So far pretty happy to solo as pretty easy to match make for random heroics as only require up to 4 people.

I'm reading up on the raid encounters and hopefully once they fix the raid match making on PC I can get some experience.

I mostly do heroics now but will consider Control Points as well as that's easily solo-able.

My wish is that the end game set gear is made better and perhaps talent points in specialisations varies more.

Tried the raid for the first (proper) time last night with Joyrider, very soon became apparent that our ‘builds’ are shocking when used against anything other than a drone!
These same builds arent too bad in the day to day stuff but then maybe its because the day to day grind isnt that hard in reality?

We had to matchmake and the guys that joined us pretty much carried us through. Their weapons were so much better as was their armour - we are both level 499 as were the rest of the raid team so where do we start with building a decent build?

We didnt complete the raid in the end, got to the final stage but everyone was starting to flag after about the 15th restart of that stage

I take it that was 'normal' difficulty rather than discovery mode?

I had a similar experience, albeit a while ago now when the raid first came out. I really don't know what they were thinking with the raid difficulty. My main DPS build is fine in heroic missions but, seemed quite weak in the raid. Given that it is a cover shooter, there also didn't seem to be much opportunity to take cover, at least in the first couple of encounters anyway.

I must admit, I'm beginning to lose interest although, running around with an explosive skill build has been fun and quite refreshing - no doubt it'll be nerfed soon!

It was in Discovery mode - no idea if that's harder than normal, or easier. Not very clear is it. To be honest I spent most of my time in that raid wondering WTF was going on, especially in the last area. Towards the end we did get a bit of a system going and everyone was working well together, but guess we all just ran out of time - but as AWracing says, our builds were shocking in comparison - The amount of damage the others were dealing out was 10x the amount that I was
