How? the market place tab is greyed out now, content manager is saying nothing at all is installed and I need a newer game version than 1.14.xxx, the version installed is 1.15.xxx

The roads and rivers are on Ultra at the moment. All the fields look basic as well.

I think FSX was more detailed, no way am I re-installing the whole package again, I did it the other week when it cocked up. Microsoft are absolutely st at everything they do.

Data had been turned off. Now with graphics set to medium.

The last two updates have been a total pain to install. They just dont start, latest one says its queued, but its not moving anywhere. 0% still.

You try and start he programme and it says you have to ps off and install the update. Why cant the update just install within itself

Microsoft are giving away a custom PC built to look like an aeroplane engine. Cool huh? Shame its spec is not up to running MSFS2020 at full settings though

I couldn't even work out where the runway was, it's just grass/snow and a few buildings.

I tried a landing at Mont Blanc Airport, which I think is now closed IRL. Picked the wrong route and had to climb to 8000ft to get over the mountains, was then on top off the airport. Circled to lose altitude but then couldn't see the runway, such as it is. Hit a tree.

Did you have to fiddle with settings much to get it to run nicely?
I'm running a 3060ti with a Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb of ram, Flight sim running on an SSD (not tried it on the NVME yet) but I can't seem to get it to run nicely no matter what I do.
I get a lot of blur as I make turns etc, tried both over link (although USB2 not 3) and wirelessly via virtual desktop.

Any tips would be appreciated!

By blur do you mean motion blur or blurry textures? The former is an option that can be disabled in the settings, the second is a loading issue, although with 16GB ram I would think it's ok. Have you got a slow internet?

By usb2 I'm guessing you're talking VR - I've not run VR but I can't see how usb2 has the oomph to display a reasonable frame rate.

Yes, I'd guess that the USB 2 is the bottleneck there. When I first got the occulus, I tried playing Half Life Alyx on it and it was awful - turned out the problem was my wireless was too slow. A new 5Ghz router sorted it. So I'd guess that the problem is in the transmission, rather than what the PC can handle - I've got most settings on high and it's fine, and your graphics card is better.
I've not really managed to get it to work over virtual desktop, though others have - I gave up and just got a cable. Though I use VD for other games and it works fine.

I've just installed this now that I have a PC capable of running it. (Nothing high end, just a Ryzen 5 3600, 32GB and a 1050ti).

I'm using my Xbox controller and it is rather lovely just flying around looking at the scenery. Clearly a massive game with many things to gradually learn and tons of help online.

Derby airport seems to be a bit of mown grass.

It is a great sim isn't it.

Give this a try if you want a better Derby (assuming it's the right airport).

I'm currently doing the bush trips, which have some pretty good scenery. Doing The Balkans one at the moment.

Just downloaded the EC135 helicopter from flightsim.to it’s fantastic and doubly amazing that it’s free. Don’t mess around with easy mode, crank it right up to realistic for awesomeness.

There’s a really good Gatwick on there also for anyone wanting a bit of that.

When I play this in VR it duplicates the display on the TV as well which is great but its split between the two views for each eye on the TV with the black stencil thing round both of them. Is it possible to have a single display on the TV? all my other oculus games manage to do this.

Obviously it doesn't bother me if I'm playing in VR but if I'm trying to explain to someone else what to do it hard to see what they are doing from the TV view. KInd of like this if you follow me, I want one full screen image.

I give up with this sim, Played fine a month ago, Launched it tonight and it go's straight to the Microsoft store? Did a bit of googling, A common problem, Reinstalling it seems to fix it so i uninstalled it all, Back into MS store, Click install, I get the drive to install it to option, Select drive, Click install and nothing! Asobo/Microsoft really need to sort this crap out. I really do not know what to do next to get it installed.
