I have a Playseat Challenge and a Fanatec CSL DD, it's not perfect but it does the job. I've beefed mine up slightly, but it worked without the upgrades, there are plenty of guide online.

Not all Fanatec's are DD and not all pedals are loadcell.
You need this one - https://fanatec.com/eu-en/bundles/gran-turismo-dd-... for DD, Load Cell and PS compatibility. You can go for a 2 pedal option or add on H pattern or sequential.
What you do need to do is make sure it's PS compatible, not all of them are.

Oooohhh, that's making it far too easy to just click and buy!
Good to know though, think you're right that's exactly what I'm aiming for.

Karl Gosling's YouTube channel has got a few reviews of the Playseat Challenge. I'm sure he's done one where he fitted it loads of the best sim racing hardware that he had available and concluded that it did very well for a foldable rig.

I did over a year in a playseat challenge with a DD Pro and load cell pedals. You need to add some diy bracing, but it works fine and I found the playseat chair insanely comfy. I could do multi hour stints with no aches or pains.

Shame you're in Surrey as I have a Playseat challenge sitting idle up here in Suffolk.

I'd do a cheap deal for you get going with your rig if you can get someone to collect it.

Very kind offer. I do have a friend in Colchester I’m trying to make a plan to come and see. Is that near you?

Well, there's a McDonald's on the A12, opposite Colchester United's ground. I could meet you there? Would take me about an hour to get there.

PM me through here and maybe we could work out a deal? thumbup

I have a playseat challenge and been very happy with it, not got DD wheel yet though. Using CSL LC pedals on it which work fine, cable tied to the legs. There's also the GT Lite one which gets good feedback.

Been looking at the Moza wheels, look like a decent alternative to the Fanatec ones. 5nm base for £350, ES wheel for £130, F1 grip for it for £40. Only problem is don't think the UK distributors sell all the newer bits yet so potentially add import duties/VAT/etc. Even so looks a good price and gets good reviews: https://mozaracing.com/

Sounds like UTH is on console. Moza aren't yet console compatible. He will be limited to thrustmaster, fanatec or logitech for console use.

Another thumbs up for the Playseat Challenge. I only upgraded to a Playseat Evolution as I had somewhere I could leave it setup permanently. In some ways I found the Playseat Challenge comfier.

Yep PS5
Think I’m fairly set that the Fanatec bundle linked at the top of this page is what I’ll aim for. Just now the battle with myself as to when I crack and shell out.

Not sure how things are now but late last year Fanatec were having serious stock issues and we're quoting something like 6 months+ waiting times.

Personally I've got a couple of Thrustmaster wheels and a TSS handbrake so am waiting until the T818 is available on console.

I'm selling my Fanatec Clubsport V3 pedals if you're interested with brake performance kit for around £280. Based around Chigwell area. Great condition.

Being new to all this I don't really know what they are. So far I've learnt I def want load cell pedals....other than that I don't know what's what.

Clubsport V3 are loadcell brake, they are the best pedals that Fanatec make.

New price with shipping and import tax/vat with the additional performance kit mine have is around £410 for reference.

Not wanting to put the dampers on a good deal, Can you buy just the PS compatible wheel without pedals?

The wheel and pedals are attached to each other and then to the console, you must have a PS compatible wheel. If you can, crack on!

From my limited searching into this whole topic I think you can buy just the wheel?

Unsurprisingly I've become quite obsessed by sim racing setups!

Who's got things like this on theirs? https://www.turnkeysimulators.com/product/d-box-ge...

I imagine that's bloody awesome!

Quite like the idea of these as almost uniquely it has yaw to simulate oversteer for a very reasonable price.
