COD modern warfare

You can turn off crossplay but it's based on input so you don't play against PC players that use a KBM. Would be totally unfair if that's the case.
Almost finished the campaign and it's fantastic.
Jumped on MP for a few hours, just to get past level 4 so I can edit my loadouts. First few games didn't do well (doesn't help that my broadband is a bit st) but eventually hauled myself back into it. Seems very campy and some of the maps you just die without having a clue where it came from. As a the usual SMG run and gun type I've got to try to adapt to a slower playstyle. Still, overall it's an excellent game but it has a few flaws which I am sure IW will sort out. No COD has released smoothly

A lot of people must be running dial-up internet here if you're struggling that much with the download
Anyway, all I've got to say is WOW this game is incredible!
Only put in about 12 hours of multiplayer (and about 1 hour of campaign) this weekend but absolutely love it, feels really smooth and the gun sounds are spot on. The customisation on the weapons is superb too.
I'm thinking this is probably the best CoD yet.

The graphics (xbox one x) are superb yet with the additional frame rate and texture quality it some how detracts from the perceived realism.
Noticed it on a few games now (such as bf5) and it gives a cartoon feel, bf4 you had a sense it was grittier but less pretty
That said this games fab on campaign, yet to try mp but I'm old and slow

Finished the campaign on Saturday afternoon on Veteran, could do with being a little longer imho. Now trawling back through the chapters to gain the achievements I missed on the first run through. Graphics and gameplay are fantastic but my email address is somehow linked to a Live account I have never used. Awaiting a response from Activision as to how I can link my account to my Live account. Unable to play online till that is resolved but I'm also old and slow so not that bothered. Will look forward to some co-op special ops when it's sorted out.

I had a similar issue with an old Xbox account being linked to my email and couldn't access to change it. After a bit of googling, it seems Activision won't be of much help so don't wait for them... The way I got around it was to go to your Activision account, change the email address to one you don't use or make a new one. Then you'll be free to create a new account with the email address you do use and link the correct Xbox account I've recently bought this. After i'd recovered from paying 52 notes for what can only be an installer which then goes and gets the real game from PSN......
I have good fibre broadband but i guess the rest of the planet was also downloading it as i gave up and went to bed when it said 43 hours left to download the remaining 16gb.
That was Saturday evening. Sunday i had stuff planned and work today but will try and get some time on it tomorrow while "working from home".

Wow it looks lovely done a bit of campaign but my god online is a joke literally one shot kills and the map I played was massive with loads of rat runs didn't have a clue bring back nuketown!
Are you playing "realism"?It takes approx 3-4 bodyshots to down someone close range with an M4 in normal modes.
Learn the new maps and enjoy that challenge.

I've not played COD since MW3, have to say I am enjoying this. A bit like seeing an old friend again.
It does feel a bit slower than what I remember, not sure if that is just me or not, but I quite like that. They do need to work on the spawns though, as I've had a few shockers.
Same for me! Have managed to play a few hours now and one thing i have noticed is the matchmaking seems to be a bit thick. I've 8 or so games now when its been a team of low levels against a team in the 40s/50s and you just get destroyed It does feel a bit slower than what I remember, not sure if that is just me or not, but I quite like that. Enjoying it so far though, needs a few tweaks but i'm sure they will get there.

It's definitely not one shot kills on normal mode, actually think normal mode is annoying at how many hits you can take before dying. I only ever play hardcore or realism for that reason.iacabu said:

Nice one icabu, all sorted now. Time to try out some special ops this evening.AmosMoses said:

It could be because you've not played a huge amount of games. Matchmaking is supposed to be skill based, so you should eventually start getting matched into games with those at or around your skill level. Enjoying it so far though, needs a few tweaks but i'm sure they will get there.
It does seem to be a hot topic in the more die hard communities. Not entirely sure why, it sounds like a fair system when it works, probably because they can't crush lower skilled players.
