Couldn't find a recent thread for this, but seen the game mentioned a few times over the past month or two so I thought I'd start one.
Just about got set up with my DIY wheelstand for my recently acquired G920, and done a couple of hours dicking around, adding a load of crap cars and tracks and removing them again, etc.
I can't see me entering any online races for a while, although I am keen to compare laptimes if anyone's up for a little friendly competition.
Any recommendations for cars/tracks?
Tia

I have rfactor 2 although if I am honest I rarely play it, compared to PC2 the graphics aren't as good and although the dynamics are arguably a bit better in rf2 it just isnt as good IMO.
That said it still has a die hard following, I used to race in the online C1 Cup with World Series Racing (they have a discord channel you can join) they run regular online events in multiple disciplines and are a welcoming bunch of guys.
Add me on steam, if I am ever online feel free to invite me, gamertag is geeksandlies

I've just started toying with this, bought a G920 as well.
Getting a little disheartened with how easy it is to spin! All I can do is just pile in practice but without a structured campaign or tutorial as such, it gets a little boring. I have to turn driver aids on or play with the FWD cars to even get clean laps in, let alone practice racecraft!

The Clio and the 370z aren't too bad to start with. TC on low with the Z, abs on low for them both. Let the tyres warm up and take it easy, you'll soon get into a rhythm.
I was too soft with the wheel to start with, don't be afraid to give it some if you need to correct a slide.
I'll keep plugging away at it, thanks.I was too soft with the wheel to start with, don't be afraid to give it some if you need to correct a slide.
rF2 isn't as polished as some others, but since S397 took over development its getting better. As an actual Sim is still the best there is for realism.
The S397 DLC cars are well above anything else out there (baring some iRacing cars), well worth getting them. The two GT3 packs are very well balanced and I've had some great league races using them.

The UI looks like it's from the 90's, it's not much different SCGT The S397 DLC cars are well above anything else out there (baring some iRacing cars), well worth getting them. The two GT3 packs are very well balanced and I've had some great league races using them.
Got all the (free) S397 DLC for now, plus some of the better rated tracks & cars, not seen the M5 though.
Any preferences for a track to use?
Run it from Sunday to Sunday as per most other comps?

I have driven the Z briefly at Fuji a couple of weeks ago, but never driven LRP.
My stand is currently being painted, so I won't get chance to run this combo til Friday or Saturday.
Times in by 8pm ish Sunday 13th.
