Tried Fallout 4 about a year ago, did not like. Combat was ridiculously hard for me, got to a point about a quarter of the way in where I just couldn't progress.

Think game pass is the way to go, eldest off sick today so by the time I got to the xbox in early afternoon it had been taken, so I'll have to wait til Monday now.
Did you use VATS? Where you 'Stop' time and target using that and action points. As a raw FPS it can be extremely fast paced without using that, you need to use both the RPG skills & FPS bits to really make it work well together.
Yeh, didn't really gel for me tho.

Finished Life is Strange yesterday. bloody hell, how sad can one game be? Currently started Life is Strange 2, I'll lose the xbox to half term for two weeks on Friday so am making the most of it.

Kids have already had a major bust up about Ashes Cricket, game pass - part blessing, part curse.

I'm really on the fence about this one, I loved the first and second one so it should be a safe bet i'll like this one as I have heard it is really similar? But have heard some negative things too...can't make my mind up!
I loved 1 & 2, its a more polished version but has lost a little charm at the same time. The story is amusing and also terrible if you really think about it, think classic bond story.

Lots of time sunk into it by myself so far, and liking the subtle changes they have made to gun brands and rewards to vary your play styles... & some useful additions (lost loot crate etc)
Thanks for that mate, I do want to pick it up at some point but might just wait a while for it to come down in price...got loads of other games I want at this moment,

If you liked LIS I'd recommend the prequel, LIS Before the Storm - it does a great job focusing on the relationship between Chloe and Rachel. LIS2 is a completely different narrative with different game mechanics.

I haven't played anything but Forza Horizon 4 in the last year... The two DLC packs have kept it interesting and they also release daily/weekly/monthly challenges that take some time to complete

Currently got 700 cars in my garage so plenty of variety!

Not sure why but I got really bored of FH4 quite quickly, my go to if I fancy a driving game is Forza Motorsport 7 still.

Was on the fence too until it came out and saw some proper gameplay. I waited a couple weeks for the bugs to be ironed out - sadly necessary these days.

Would say its a 50-60hr game with the missions, side quests & a few of the proving grounds. Story alone is easily 30hours. Quite funny, lots of nice tweaks with the gameplay, guns are great and have a good look, feel & variety about them that you get with Destiny.

Looking at some of the reviews feel like they are a bit harsh. A lot of the reviews say that the missions are very samey. But oddly these same people gave Destiny very high scores when that game is shoot, press an interact button, shoot. BL3 knows what it is and does it very well IMO. There is definitely an edn game & looking forward to the DLC.

Also a lot of the non-US sites didn't get a pre-release download code. Gearbox worried about 'code leakage' or something, which got a lot of the sites backs up as they couldnt post a review until after the game launched

I struggled with it as well, I think it was the off roading stuff etc. I think I would have preferred Motorsport if it's track focused and more like Gran Turismo?

I enjoyed the first one, what's the second one like? Is there enough to justify buying?

I got ripped off with how they package it through the Gold pass and only giving you training missions. I read that they've tried to pull the same stunt with the second one.

I got it off eBay for £10, I loved both of them. I'd absolutely recommend.

2 is more of the same with some tweaks to the mechanics (I.e. introduced long grass for hiding, new weapons like the tranq gun etc). If you get the legacy edition you get season 1 also, with said tweaks applied to the original game.

They release 2 as a complete, finished game - not episodic like 1. Haven’t heard anything about them pulling tricks like you mention.

Amazing games, brings back memories of playing the first Hitman Agent 47 in Uni.

Elusive targets is my favourite, you have to first find the target with no clues, no saves, and only one chance to get it right first time. Once you made the kill the temptation for me is to always try and unlock one of the locked exits, like getting a key to an armoured truck......getting cocky with the exit has been my down fall many times smile

Red Dead Redemption 2. Over the last 12 months mainly played Call of Duty and Lost Cause, and I didn’t think I would enjoy Red Dead.

Fantastic game with some depth, not too difficult, but there must be at least 50 hours worth of playing.

Plenty of copies on EBay as well.

Yeah same here I don't really like the offroading, much prefer track driving! Forza Motorsport is the Xbox equivalent to Gran Turismo, although I actually think Forza does it much better.

Cheers, can you customise the cars as good as you could with Gran Turismo?

Yes and much better tuning - not just a case of bung on better suspension and it'll go round corners better - you've got to set your spring rates etc if you want to see any real improvement
