I'm finding the AI to be fantastic, you can have some really good battles. Occasionally if you are too slow the AI will just force their way past which is fair enough. Best AI in any racing game I've played, much much better than Forza or Gran Turismo, strangely I find the racing to be even better than Grid which in theory has the same underlying game engine.

Oh yes if you lock up etc into a corner then they will zip past which is great. But when you half a car length ahead into a corner and they just drive into you?!?!

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve just completed Canada in My Team and had an entire race battle with Gasly including pitting at almost identical times.

One issue however, I’m racing on 105 AI and the difference in AI quality and speed from track to track is alarming. Finished 8th at Canada whereas my car (worst only for Williams) shouldn’t really be that high. I’ll see how France goes but may need to tweak race by race which isn’t ideal.

Wanted an F1 wheel-style for my T300RS but didn't like the look of Thrustmaster's options

Cue the world of replacement rims. Carbon fibre and it weighs nothing compared to the standard wheel. I'm a bit more sensitive to the force feedback now.

Also did the magnetic shifter mod which will ps off the girlfriend hehe

Looks good on the PC I presume with wheel+pedals??

Had some time to get a few races in, love the AI in this game. Put together a short video of just close the AI gets to you without crashing, I'm in the Ferrari using a Xbox controller. Its probably the most fun racing game I've played since TOCA2, certainly much more enjoyable than any of the GT/Forza series I've played.

Thinking about getting this for the Xbox, is it manageable with a pad ok?

I'm less interested in the full SIM experience but like the idea of creating a team, from reading the thread it seems you can managed the AI quite well based on your skill level?

I recently started playing this game on Xbox, with a pad. I thoroughly enjoy it. Going down the route of starting your own team brings lots of new stuff to the game. Plus the AI is very good, behaving like I would expect real drivers to attempt.

I recommend you get it. I got a second hand copy. Enjoy!

Happily F1 2019 is on Gamepass

I hated the last F1 game I played, hated it, so doing a few races on 2019 to make sure it's better, just doing F2 stuff but it's good so far

Anyone still playing?

I'm late to the party, but really enjoying the game. Working my way through my team, it's been tough, but managed to fluke a podium in my first season with a SC and jammy pitstop timing due to rain. Hopefully those points will leave me in a good position for the rest of the season.

Yep..... just started my second season with Bentley F1 alongside Jack Aitken as 2nd driver.

Interestingly I opted for a Mercedes engine second season after having a Honda unit in season one. The reason it’s interesting is that the overall car performance has probably gone backwards and I reckon this is because my engine performance is better than aero, durability and chassis improvements I did....that’s a cool aspect if indeed planned by Codemasters.

I got 50 points in season 1 (AI 105) but in truth only got them due to comedy SC moments and some huge crashes and retirements which is great and refreshing for AI in racing games. My points mainly came from a 3rd place at a wet Monza were I got lucky on a tyre change at the perfect time.

Cracking game

I started with the Mercedes PU, I'll have to try the other way and see if my car gets stronger.

Mine was a 3rd at Azerbaijan, I managed to stretch out my first stint and only make one stop when everyone else had to make 2.
How did you get on with money, any issues? I keep having warnings that my balance is too low,

Picked up F1 2020 a while back played a few races but haven't had a chance to play it again, two weeks off for Christmas coming up, hoping to get some more play time in and get a whole season done. Have to say I think its the best F1 game from Codies since F1 2013 (I have them all from 2010 to 2020)

Intend to ensure I have sponsors that generate around $1m a weekly and then ensure that towards the end of the season just build up the development and pennies in readiness to spend pre season.

Been trying this game on my OLED panel now that I have a Chromecast to run Stadia rather than my latop. This game just looks so good on a big screen.....I however was setting awful laptimes, barely able to take a corner.

Like all good craftsman I immediately blamed my tool, Stadia must be lagging badly..........But after I checked, it appear not, but I think it is because the Stadia controller is MORE sensitive than the Xbox controller, so the first mm of the thumb stick movements translated to much more steering input than am use to....Well that's my excuse anyways. After some tweaking I think I got thing back setup to my liking, still slower than time I can do my laptop though, yeaph I'm still blaming the equipment smile

Been tempted by F1 2020 especially now I've got Stadia. But I have F1 2019 on Xbox and I'm only into my second season!

Might get 2021 instead as long as they keep the build your own team feature.

Okay perfect, thank you. I should be okay then, I'll keep spending whilst I can and start to save up in the last few races.
I've seen quite a few people have had to stock up resource points at the end of the season as well, to cover off rule changes.

Wow.....look at that quality....

For the Spectrum 48k rubber key generation can you explain to me how I can play games via Stadia on my LG OLED55 TV?
