Do we have enough players for a Sunday night race at some point?

Managed to get a few races in over the weekend.

Has anyone else managed any crazy results? Over halfway through the season now, qualified 14th and started 8th, I'm guessing due to engine penalties?
As the season progresses then yes you’ll see more and more of these. Building up your own Durability points will lower the need for your team to use as many but to fair the first few seasons you’ll be needing more parts than Minardi laugh

It's weird, I haven't had any issues yet! Managed to keep all within limits. However my durability department is one of my strongest. It means I'm getting a few chances at points finishes though and it's bumping me up the table!

Am currently still on season 1 (Cyberpunk took over my time over the holidays).

Currently just doing time trials on Suzuka, I can manage to hook 1 perfect lap out of 10, but in the race any mistake out of a long corner has the AI trying crazy stuff like sending one down the inside at 130R!! Its probably the first track am going to have to fiddle with the setup, just haven't got enough top end speed.

Am now also getting warning either my aero or chassis developments will be 'reset' next season, so am hoarding my development points which isn't helping the car.

Did everyone get the reset warning at the end of the first season? I've seen a few different people mention it.

What colours is everyone running in my team? I've gone for purples, fluro green and black. I will try to post a picture if I remember.

Few races into S1 now and come up with the below plan to optimize the car. Not missing anything obvious am I?

Upgrade Marketing to increase acclaim and cash
Spec 1 on each facility during the season focusing on weakest R&D area
R&D tokens to weakest car element (bar reliability)
Nice easy achievable secondary sponsor goals.

Make sure your focus is on gaining as many R&D points per department as possible as quick as possible. The more you have the faster you can develop. I have Jack Aitken as second driver so I’m investing some effort into developing him as he seems to be a decent option so far.

Cool, will make sure the first upgrades to each facility is the resource point generation aspect.

Forgot to say, had an odd race in Bahrain, using the same settings as Australia where I placed 14th and team mate was 16th. He finished 10th and I was 11th (1.5 seconds back but with a front wing change) and beat both the Haas, RP, Williams and Alfa, along with a Renault and AT. Given we qualified 15th and 17th I'm surprised by the race pace improvements.

Possible to have a car that just really suits the track?

Sounds fine to me....if it’s the first season I’d probably just monitor the next race (China) I think and maybe alter the AI up 5 notches to match would should be a tough first year (if you want it realistic......)

Also worth noting that quantifying performance of the AI often seems to be better than race speed - again something to monitor based on paragraph one above.

However, new teams do have good races so don’t be too harsh but I’d be mindful of you start getting regular point finishes above the your competitors on the R&D league table.

I like it punishing hence why I have a 105 AI which only now midway through season 2 enables me to get near the points.

I think some tracks suit players better as well. I know I have tracks where I’m a lot quicker than others.

I've won about 4 races in my first season as a My Team thing, with an AI rating of 90.

I've found wet weather races to be horrendous. I finished the Mexico GP stone dead last due to a puncture, as I didn't realise my wet weather rear tyres were so worn. I had been running 3rd all race as well after qualifying 4th.

I expected a harder time of it if I'm honest with an AI of 90. Team is currently 4th, mostly from me and good points finishes.

Suggest moving it up to min 100+

Will have a go at China later and see how I do with that. It has definitely appeared easier in races than qualifying in the first 2 races, if I get a good start I can make up 3/4 places and may only lose 1 or 2 during the race if I can defend well. This combined with a few DNFs put me close the points.

I'm currently ahead of Williams and Alfa Romeo and on a par with Haas in the league table so I guess I should be 15th/16th and then throw in the odd AI issue and you can get to around the bubble of points.

I've got 2 races to go on Season 1, and have this warning. Does this mean all the parts for both Aero and Chassis developments are scrapped for Season 2 frown

It means you have to pay again for them to be adapted, any you dont adapt wont be carried over.

Yep, as above. It’s fairly cheap to ensure they are compliant for the next season and it mainly relates to powertrain items
