The Witcher 3 is over rated.
I didn't like it much either. Waste of a tenner!

Not sure this is unpopular but Borderlands 3 and Battlefield V were fking ste.

Bethseda games are unoptimised, buggy half complete messes and are generally only saved due to modding.
Bethesda game worlds feel more like theme parks than actual places, and the storylines are written by morons.

(Despite doing this a lot rolleyes I did enjoy most of them though)

Many (possibly most) race/rally driving 'sims' are artificially twitchy to the point of being unrealistic, probably for the purpose of making them more difficult.

All Final Fantasy Games are ste.

Fifa has been the same since the early 2000s.

Animal Crossing is for weirdos who don't like the outdoors.

Haven't read the thread but I'd bet that half the comments are about Witcher 3 (couldn't get into it/too long/combat was boring/map was covered with boring objectives) and RDR2 (too long, boring, never gets going etc).

Anyway, my unpopular opinion - all the Uncharted games are absolute ste, except for the voice acting and script which is quite entertaining. Floaty bullets with no sense of impact, generic enemies, clichéd stories, average platforming. Boring shooting gallery after boring shooting gallery followed by frustrating and convoluted platforming puzzles. Gears of War does the 3rd person shooter thing ten times better.

Beamng Drive is by far the best car experience out there.

Elder Scrolls Oblivion is a bore-fest

Assasins Creed games are too linear and boring

FS2020 is crap unless you know nothing about flight simulators. If you disagree with me then you know nothing about flight simulators even if you say you are the worlds flight sim expert and have played every flight simulator in the whole world ever .....

I'll Third it.

A solid game, not exceptional. Solid.

On several occasions I have tried to play different Uncharted games, as I have read they are great; every time I have stopped after a few hours, because they are so dull ...

ETS2 is as good as games get. No re-releases, corporate greed, or stagnation. 8 years old and still in active development, and getting better all the time.

I'd go further and say I Ioved it! I bought it a 12 month after release and it was 100% stable for me. I played it for 90 hours on my playthrough and enjoyed it as much as the earlier trilogy, which I love. Shame it is unlikely to be seen again in the foreseeable.

I only play COD so here are my unpopular opinions based on years of playing just about every iteration of the game:

MW3 is the best COD there's ever been. MW2 is often considered the best and while it is very good, MW3 took the best of MW2 and enhanced it a bit and the maps are better

BO2 is awful. This game gets so much love but I hated it to the point where it's the only one I swapped after a couple of weeks playing it. BO1 is my second favourite COD game so I had high expectations and I just couldn't gel with it. I hated the graphics and the maps. No I didn't like the boat one as so many people seem to love. I found it hard to get any sort flow or enjoyment from it.

Ghosts is one of the best COD's after MW3 and BO. Played this game to death and Modern Warfare was the only game since Ghosts came out that got me off the game.

I realise this goes against what the majority of COD players think hence it will be unpopular to a lot!

That’s a fairly popular opinion.

My unpopular opinion is that it’s fantastic... if you fly VFR around the world with Wikipedia and google maps open on another window (no glass cockpit that’s cheating). I have learnt so much about the world and I’ve only reached Kazakhstan.

Halo was ruined by the Flood, the Warthog race out of the ship at the end and the second half of the game is the first half but in reverse.
The Flood serve a purpose in the story and are necessary but maybe a bit overdone by the end of Halo: CE. I mean, that run on 'The Library' was easily my least favourite part of a Legendary run on that game. I quite like fighting the Flood for five minutes at a time but some of them have always been too tanky (like the mission inside the Flood infested ship in Halo 3, christ).

Another unpopular opinion but one that is utterly right is that FFIX is the best Final Fantasy game. Funnily enough, it's actually the highest rated FF according to Metacritic and has always had a very dedicated following. I actually skipped it when it came out because I didn't like the art style, though I think now that the cartoony take on a middle ages/steampunk European setting was really fresh and exciting.

The locations are amazing (Daguerro and Treno are some of my favourite RPG settings), the enemy design is excellent and the combat mechanics are amazing. The side quests were mostly great and the story was great, but it's really the characters and the journey that they take that makes it special. I waited 18 years to play it and wish I had done it sooner!

Errr which one? I wouldn't describe the new version as excellent, although it certainly improved since the awful release. But it doesn't come close to the OG Battlefront 1 and 2.
