Having got my hands on one... I absolutely can't stomach the price of the games. Seriously, £60-£70? Um, yeah, no thanks.
£100 for some of the "Gold" or "Ultimate" versions...sam.rog said:

Which is fine until Sony, Nintendo or MS stcan your account for some unspecified reason and you lose your digital library.
This ^Ask me how I know
If you install and play a PS4 game (e.g. Witcher 3 or Fallout 4) from a disc on a PS5 is there any obvious and worthwhile difference? I sort of want a PS5, but probably because its new tech and relatively unobtainable, rather than having a decent selection of new games that I actually want to play!

Faster load times and it is a lot quieter than my PS4 Pro. Flying machine said:

Yes the load scenes in Fallout are about 6-8 seconds instead of 20-30... I also haven't noticed it lag etc I am not sure if the graphics are slightly better or if it is because I have a QLED TV now...Thanks guys! I installed a 1tb SSD last year into my aging PS4 and that has pepped it up a bit re loading times. Sounds like I should feel too left out not having a PS5 just yet then...
That said, I would like to play cyberpunk if it is finally been released in a working format, and I've heard it's a no-no on a PS4

To be fair even at £60, most games are good value with regards to the time you get out of them. Especially multiplayer games like cod/battlefield etc. jmflare said:

videogamedunkey puts some perspective on pricing -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvPkAYT6B1QI get the issue with pricing for games that you don't "engage" with OR where you boarded the hype train, preordered and it turned out to be doo doo OR where you burn through the MSQ and ignore side content.
I looked at the last few games I played; Horizon Zero Dawn, 2 playthroughs + 100 hours in total, Ghost Of Tsushima just shy of 100hours, Immortals Fenyx Rising just over 100 hours, The Division 2, over 100 hours, God of War 40 hours currently.
That's huge value, even at full price way below £1 an hour. Combine that with the production values of something like Ghost or God etc and that 60 starts to look like good value.
