Right guys with a bit of time to think about championship format this is what I've come up with as said before any ideas welcome to hear.

First one race night mark mentioned about doing it on a Tuesday is there anyone that can't do it or a day that works best for everyone or stick to Thursday I'm easy with whatever day during the week.

2nd one format and rules will stay the same a little adjustment though in quali/practice the first race will be in fastest lap order for the sprint race.
2nd longer race will be one lap qualifying so will open lobby as I be first one will go out first do my only flying lap everyone else will then go out once the last person does there's race start. If I put in reverse grid then it's easy either not to quali or sand bag to get first etc so that way it's all down to the driver.

3rd Championship will be split into 2 so the main one being the 2 main races with the 2nd being the fun route X race.
Points will be the btcc points format so down to 15th place.
The winner of both championships will get to decide on cars used for the next season's championships etc and if you want to change fun middle race so swap to kart race etc.

4th 1st 2nd and 3rd will get an extra 3-2-1 points for championship and 1 point for fastest lap. Only 4 rounds so 8 races will count out of 5rds 10 races so if you can't make one night or have a nightmare can drop worse score. Also to spice it up just a little you can play a joker card.

How will the Joker card work so if you think a track we will use will work for you, you call your joker card at start of the lobby you must do this as soon as you enter the lobby before any practice. Any points you earn over the 2 races will double your points only to be used one time. So if you score 30 points in the 2 races you get 60 points for that round.

However if you then have a bad 2 races and use that weekend to drop scores the Joker points will remain so can't drop the Joker points. So if you did say drop the 30 point race the Joker points remain at 60.

This way nobody will know who has won till the very end.

5th track and car the route X race will use corvetter zr1 09 stock and race hard tyres.
Main races I do like the M3 tbh so can stay with that if everyone is happy to use that.
Was thinking as M3 in European do race tracks in Europe but apart from that I leave it up to you lot to pick tracks.

Can't think of anything else so open it up for you lot if you are happy or any ideas etc.

That's fairly complicated! Not sure I understand the appeal of the Joker.

My local race series uses the format actually works really well. If you have 2 bad rounds it's a way of catching up and with not knowing when others will use it you won't know who has won the championship till the very end. So for example instead of getting to the last round with a lead and thinking oh I just take it easy it forces everyone to go for it every race.
Also with fastest lap point and quali points even in a bad race can still push and earn points. May work may not if it doesn't will drop it for the next season.

Be a bit of work to keep a check on points but will work out a set up/table and publish at end of race night.

Here is a idea of race calender thought I use layout or tracks not used before so.
RD1 brands hatch gp circuit or Goodwood
Rd2 Sardegna road track or alsace
Rd3 Austria wet weather or deep forest
Rd4 Monza or Barcelona
Rd5 dragon trail or saints croix.

So a mix between real world and fictional let me know which ones you like or don't like
Noddie mentioned changing cars each race I will leave the players have a vote on keep with same one or change each night.

Format and either day are fine for me. As said in the chat, I'd prefer if we keep the variety in regards to car choice.

The option to switch up the weather is a good choice. If we could mix in some day/night races or transition races then even better.

I'm in the same boat. Never driven one on GT7 either. I know that on iRacing it is a workout for the arms though.

Count me in for this, I may well not be able to do every week it just depends on how my shifts fall but have got 2 weeks off so I'm in for those.

Radical at Brands tomorrow night sounds good to me. Are we doing pit stops/weather as part of it also?

We do first race dry see what everyone wants to do for 2nd. Could introduce wet weather at some point.
