Noticed reviews aren't great for this. Still playing and enjoying f1 2020 ps4 version on my ps5.

Do I go for f1 2022 or gt7?? Decisions decisions.

Thanks, I suspect I will get this in time then once the new PS5 VR comes out.

Purchased this earlier, haven't played one since 2020, started a My Team straight away as a newcomer and went into the first race weekend. Had the difficulty way too easy and ended up 11th, needs turning up a notch.

Seems pretty similar to what I remember, hence why I only buy them every other year. It's nice to take a newcomer from the back of the grid to the top 6.

Joyously one can actually change the regular shouty fat oaf for the far less irritating Alex Jacques on the commentary woohoo

Other than that, the handling feels great, but the super car hot laps bit is pointless, would much rather have the historic cars.

Back to F1 ‘20 on gamepass for me.

Thought I'd give it a go - I must admit, hearing Crofty shouting in the background music wasn't a great start laugh

I don't want to create an EA account, stop asking!

Also getting some weird stuff happen with force feedback on my Logitech wheel - Spent one lap pulling to the left, then it was fine but then it went all floaty and pulling to the right.

Damn you Steam! Wasn't going to buy it, but noticed it was only £25 on Steam over the weekend.

Skipped a couple of the newer F1 games, but lost track of how many hours I've spent on 16, 17 and 19, had no issues running with no assists and AI difficulty at 90 - 22 definitely a lot more challenging, I've used flashback more in the last few days than I did in years laugh

Yup the 21 game was very, very difficult on a controller with no assists, would frequently just spin off for no apparent reason..

22 I only played on medium assists rather than all turned off but the car was much easier to handle ...

I have about 100 hours on F1 2019 and still play it, is it worth upgrading to 2022?

I've not really played too much career/my team modes yet, but I wouldn't spend £60 on it.

I don't tend to buy yearly releases of games anyway, I don't understand why people buy FIFA games at £60 a pop year after year (and then have EA rob more money with in game transactions)

I tend to get them if they're cheap enough on Steam. I only had 19 as it was free on Gamepass for years

Just a heads up but this is now £7.99 in the steam sale.

For that price I had to upgrade from 2019, downloading now.

Yup it was about £20 on the PS store a few weeks ago so I picked it up.

I find it has a lot of bugs though?!?! I mean, I keep getting yellow flags and the other cars just overtake me... I lost 4 places on the last lap at Silverstone with that happening too, it flashed up safety car stick to your delta, and the other drivers just shot past me. Also pit entry other cars just blast through you....

Still fun to drive the circuits though...

Saw a lot of people criticise the handling but it feels better than '21 to me, where certain kerbs just seemed to spin you out if you so much as looked at them. Don't understand the supercars though, who exactly asked for this? Career mode is fun though, as limited as the editor is I had a go at recreating Jaguar for a midfield car.

But that just didn't capture the spirit of a no-hoper privateer team. So I decided to start again, resurrect Pacific Grand Prix and lead them to WCC glory. Reason I chose them was way back in 1996 my parents bought me a PS1 with the F1 game, and one school holiday I decided to do the same thing, for the sole reason I thought their name sounded cool.

I have a gaming laptop with a 3060, I can run 2019 at full everything in 2560 * 1600 and get well over 120 frames per second.

In 2022 I am struggling to get 30 FPS on the demo. My laptop is a Lenovo and has 3 power settings, even running at top level, running the GPU at 130 Watts it barely makes any difference.

Thinking I will be going back to 2019 very soon.....

I have been playing this for a little while.

This morning, for the third time, it has not loaded the last 6 races I completed in Career mode.

Anyone else heard of this? Any suggestions as to how I can prevent it?

It is very frustrating!!
