Has anyone pre-ordered yet? I haven't watched any of the races this season, but think I'll be getting this.

No benefit to pre-ordering an EA game. That product page basically says it'll be the same as 2021, which was barely changed from 2020 itself.

Unless there's standout new content I will wait for it to be discounted.

I am still playing 2019 which I think I paid about £5 for. Is this going to be significantly different, or am I just going to think it is the same game after a couple of hours?

I will do my usual and wait a few months for it to drop to half price then buy it from the PS Store... I have 2021....... Hopefully they will put some new circuits on (I assume Vietnam will be removed too)

New cars, expanded My Team mode, interactive pitstops, sprint races, crossplay, VR, actually developed for new gen consoles. It'll be interesting to see what other features they add.

Can also finally line yourself up on the grid. Interactive pit stops are just a quick time event for turning in to your crew. You don't get any other control down the pit lane, unfortunately.

Hope they fix the handling, in '21 there were certain corners where you'd lose control if yo so much as looked at the kerb. Plus it's EA, so expect fewer improvements and more dancing emotes and premium unlocks.

They almost need to versions. A simulation one, where everything is very F1 and then a arcade version where they can do the emotes and crazy liveries etc.

If EA are involved I’ll not bother till the reviews are out.

Hope you haven't pre-ordered via Steam. Lots of posts on reddit saying the game hasn't unlocked.

Anyone playing via EA Play Pro were being instabanned on launching game this morning as well.

One day people might learn you have nothing to gain from pre-ordering.

No historic cars either which is a shame.

Usually a yearly buyer of these but didn't pick up last years as I knew I was getting a Ps5 at some point so waited.

Currently playing and enjoying F1 2020. As someone has already said, the classic cars add something to it.

I'll wait for reviews, currently it's between F1 2022 and GT7 for my first proper Ps5 game.

Review scores so far are a little down on last year, seems to be a bit of a bug fest. Will keep an eye on it and see how it fares over the next month.

I really haven't managed any proper time on this yet. Completed a few races, initial thoughts, very similar to 2021. So unless you're changing because you want the new cars or have a new console (my reason for upgrade) I wouldn't rush.

Oh and F1 life is pointless, but then we already knew that.

Stupid question but is this the one that has VR?
